I used to work for a company that relied heavily on shady SEO for its marketing. It's fucking soul-crushing.
Anyway, out of curiosity I've checked some of the links those spam bots post. They're always the exact same fake news article talking about how a single mom from [your town] discovering a crazy secret to making fat stacks with no effort whatsoever. I've never gone any deeper into those sites than the front page, but I suspect they're a typical work-from-home scam, where you pay a hefty fee for the "secret" to getting rich, and whatever they sell you (if they send you anything at all) is worthless. These scams pre-date the Internet.
I really, really hope you're reading this thread. If you are, look at the response you're getting from people you've never even met. Now imagine how your close friends and family would feel if you went through with this.
You may well believe that nobody cares if you live or die. This thread should put that notion to bed immediately.
If I could go back in time and tell my younger self one thing, it would be this: no matter how bad things seem at a given moment, it's going to be OK. A lot of people, as they get older, would say the same thing. I don't want to trivialize whatever you're going through, but I promise that it won't seem quite so dire in retrospect.
I don't post here often, and I don't know you. But I've been where you are right now. It sucks, but there are more people than you know who would bend over backwards to help you through whatever it is you're dealing with. I hope you're still reading this thread, because it proves that there are people who care. You're not alone.
