I think it's great. The people complaining about the extra time are the same people who would jump to complain about quality, and make .gifs, and laugh at all the glitches and bugs if it had come out halfbaked. Good on them.

I hear Google+ is the next big thing, yet the only activity I really see are tech journalists. Leo Laporte has 61K followers. Shocker. Most of my friends aren't geeks so they haven't even HEARD of Google+ yet, let alone feel the need to join it. Right now at least, Google+ feels like twitter with a larger character count. That's it.

This isn't true. It's just that more people are away from video games and talking about them than are actually playing them. This is due to school and work taking up the majority of most people's time. And while we're at school/work, we like to talk about games on the internet.
I bet the vast majority of posts on GB are made from a household with a home console and/or gaming PC right next to them while they fill up the forums.
Well, I'm posting on GB while at work. Have I posted from home? Yes. Usually during one of those fifteen minute breaks you're supposed to take every four hours....or is it one?  Anyway, I haven't posted here much but I've got well over 3000 on The Escapist since I joined in early December. It was the first forum I joined and I was addicted for about two months. Then... I stopped getting on there all the time. I usually just pop on there to check if anyone's quoted me, pop on here for the same, and then Facebook, and then I'm gone to do something else. Still, it's not uncommon for me to spend an hour and a half on a forum.  Besides, forums are the exchanging of information. Humans love that shit. So what's wrong with spending a few hours on a good forum?
Nothing at all is wrong with it.  I'm doing it right now.

I suppose I should've titled the thread  "Pretty boring question.", but I can't edit it.

"Am I the only one?"

That is not a VERY interesting question. Misleading title.

You can't tell me my opinion's wrong.

It's not that interesting since it's been asked a whole lot before.  I probably spend equal amounts of time absorbing video game media compared to actually playing them.
It's not just giant bomb though, but yeah.

I spend way more time absorbing video game media then playing them as well. Sitting here reading articles and talking on the forums is just funner than killing dudes sometimes.
I listen in my car, Read on my PC and follow gaming shit on my phone.  I guess I just need to buy more games.

I just thought about this recently. I've finally come to the realization that I read and listen to podcasts about video games more than actually playing video games. Am I the only one?

For instance, why am I writing about listening to video games? Why aren't I in my living room gaming shit up right now? Is it laziness? Perhaps. This seems to happen more and more as I get older.
