Wow! It's been quite a long time since I posted anything. I had let my Giant Bomb membership lapse because I went through a long phase where I didn't get to play any video games. I actually found reading about them (or watching my kids play) more enjoyable than doing it myself. I need to think more on why that is, but I'm guessing it was due to the lack of time that I could put into a serious game. iPad apps had become my guilty pleasure for quite a few years, but now I'm kind of over that. Casual gaming certainly has its place; especially when you have less than an hour to dedicate to playing a certain game.
