Hate to be a fencesitter, but better that than a fangirl.  Even though I have the deepest love for PC, I've gotta admit every platform has its strengths and weaknesses.  FPSs and RPGs are usually a PC buy for me, for control accuracy and modability, but most other genres I'll probably pick up on a console.

Although I think all the threads of worthwhile discussion have already played out in the comments, just wanted to add one more voice saying thanks for a thought-provoking read!

Coffee with breakfast. Pop with lunch. Beer or wine with dinner. Water in between.

This exactly! Though it's winter here, so I'm more likely to substitute some kind of tea for the water.

Yeah, nah. If you live in a capital city and pay attention to major gaming sites, there are already plenty of opportunities to check out pre-release games. And the SUPER XTREME BRO motocross is pretty wildly irrelevant. I've been to WCG before when it was closer to home, and that was okay, but totally not worth travelling interstate for. All in all, I couldn't give less of a shit.

Presentation and production values aren't bad - In my case I just got bored with the combat, It felt slow and clunky.. Also Keyb/Mouse controls could be better.

I had it pre-order and cancel it once I played the demo. I don't hate it, I just don't like it - Long story short I just picked Alice over this.

Wow, you're probably going to regret that. Whereas Dungeon Siege is just unremarkable (and incredibly bug-free, especially for Obsidian), Alice is a constant exercise in frustration at wasted potential. It's certainly more visually interesting than Dungeon Siege... as long as you don't get too close, that is. So many turn-of-the-century textures (and the ones that aren't suffer from ridiculous pop-in), and the gameplay's just as stale. I hear it looks a little better if you've got a PhysX card, but it honestly still wouldn't be worth it to me. Really, neither of them is particularly worth your money, but in the end I found Dungeon Siege way more enjoyable - if ultimately forgettable. I was pretty pissed about the ham-handed attempt at multiplayer, I guess, but otherwise it's an inoffensive little loot-whorer.
