    The Getaway franchise is a series of sandbox action games developed by Team Soho and published by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. The games are set in London, and deals with the events of gang life and the originated crime.

    Whatever happened to 'The Getaway'???

    When i first heard about the Playstation 3, The Getaway was one of the first games i saw for the platform

    I was searching through my cupboard the other day and saw the original which brought this to my attention....

    What the hell happened to it?

    We haven't heard anything about it since the PS3 announcement.... Have we??

    They canned The Getaway 3, 8 Days and Heavenly Sword 2...makes me sad. I was always a fan of the Getaway...at least of the first game, Black Monday not so much.

    It was canceled, it was not that far along in development anyways.

    Oh and HS2 wasn't canned by Sony... 8 Days will still live on.

    Yeah, most which had one trailer in 05 or so, and then never heard of again... some didn't even have trailers lmao.

    To be fair the first game wasn't too bad, but I guess if a new Getaway was released it would always be compared to GTA.

    Tho, I dug the concept of the original Getaway games, the controlls and camera were horridly broken.
