The smithsonian is preparing an expo entitled "the art of video games" and is conducting a vote to select 80 worthy games. 
the categories are a little busted but it's still an interesting idea.

That co-op campaign was epic!

I broke my right leg a couple years back on a skateboard. 
The bone was actually cut clean down the middle so it was just dangling about, it was pretty nasty.

Mass Efffect 2 but I only have an Xbox so I can't compare it with games like Heavy Rain and GOW 3.
I would also give an honourable mention to Battlefield Bad Company 2 for its multiplayer.
