@StarvingGamer: I admire your abilities, but I find that the your combos are sometimes kind of impracticable, at least in Mileena's case. I do a variation of of the first combo you show (28%) that consists of ball+split+boot+uppercut that deals 24% in 5 hits. In the 3 extra hits you only do 4% more damage and provide more opportunities of breakers.
So far, I've only received one in my 50+ games. I was fighting someone who only picked Sub-Zero. I beat him 3 times in a row with Sektor, Mileena, and Kabal. Now I will freely admit that I cheese the last match as Kabal, but that was because he turtled up and wouldn't budge so all I could do was send saws and energy blasts at him. I declined a rematch after that because I was sick of fighting Sub-Zero and he sent me a message comprised simply of "fag."
I though about replying, but someone challenged me shortly after and never bothered with it.
Lag or not, it feels like the online in MK is kind of a cluster. I can't even create a room as it tells me that I need to be connected to the internet.
Yeah, the online play as it is right now is really a crapshoot. When it want's to it runs fine, but more often than not my expericne with it has been far far less than ideal. It's to the point that I'm probably won't play again until it get's patched.
I'm really curious as to how they are going to handle this tonally. One of the things that was really appealing to me (and made the last act really off-putting) was the fact that P4 seemed to me to be almost a parody of JRPGs and anime. I'm wondering if they are going to preserve that or play it straight.
I don't get how you can say that. Yeah, Persona 4 has some(a lot, actually) intentional comedic elements. But to call it a parody? Ridiculous. And a parody of bad Jrpg's and anime?
I didn't say bad JRPG and anime, just the genres in general. Up until shit goes down with Nanako, everything in P4 too me was delivered with a wink and a nudge. That's not a bad thing. It's what I like most about the game, actually. @mutha3 said:
At least with anime you have the whole highschool thing, but JRPG's usually suck Tolkien's dick hard with shit like elves, swords and magic. They feature effeminate spiky haired dudes saving the world from a thinly veiled religious figure by fighting monsters with oversized swords.Persona 4, on the other hand, is a lighthearted colorful Scoobydoo-like murder mystery with very neat aesthetic design.

@JacDG: Well considering the amount of lag I'm having to deal with playing against other people in the US, it may be for the best. AT least until there's an update that stabilizes things.
I agree with the concept of the pricing system for games being broken (we are being charged for games based on the medium rather than the product), but the concept of influencing what an individual pays based on their behavior is a good way to loose business in droves.
