Yes I have played/completed both episode 1 and 2, and quite enjoyed them in one sitting however, and that's how I'd like to play the next few, however again timing is hard for me lately because of work and life. I guess another question then is do you guys play the eps in one sitting or play through pieces of them...

I played it. I think the controls are awful and you can't customize them, of course. Using R2 to shoot, really? In the levels themselves I feel the design is lazy and it's been a chore to play; one hit kill traps everywhere with checkpoints every ten seconds... A lot of work obviously went into the art assets and writing but the underlying game is pretty lame.

This type of game is going to be polarizing. It's kinda like someone with an outspoken, opinionated personality. The people who are into it will go for it, but those who don't "get it" (not to say those who aren't into it are dumb or ignorant) will absolutely despise it.

Personally, though? This game looks right up my alley. I'm waiting for the PC release on Steam, but i'm totally buying it. I laughed a whole bunch at the Quick Look, my favorite type of games are 2D platformers, and I LOVE crazy shit if the gameplay can back it up.

I guess your post really does describe what will happen to this game, Hmmm.

Why is no one talking about this game? Is it any good? The quick look seemed cool. Reviews have been mixed bag.

Well, David Hayter himself is in his 40s, so no?

The thing about Hayter's Snake voice is that it doesn't sound like a real person. Don't get me wrong, it's awesome, but the amount of gravel and venom he spits his lines with is just comic book in nature. Again, not a bad thing for Solid Snake who is himself a riff on 80's action heroes, but Big Boss feels different. Especially with his new look.

@Ghostiet said:

I think Hayter gave the impression he's losing the voice only because he really had to force it portraying Snake as an old man.

I think they should stick with David Hayter, he's simply too synonymous at this point. Richard Doyle's voice is way too old to pull it off and I don't want them to pull off a Sam Fisher.

That's a fair point, and something I considered after playing through Peace Walker in the last week. Even during PW though, I wasn't entirely convinced by Hayter's performance. Especially during key bits where Big Boss delivers "profound" dialogue that needs to have real weight to it.

On the whole, I'm not sure if I want Richard Doyle voicing Big Boss, either. I'm hoping though, that with Ground Zeroes Big Boss stops being Snake and starts being the mythical mercenary bad ass we keep hearing about.

These games are somewhat comic book-y, I mean look at all the villains in the past.....and then look at the new guy in a suit and looks like cap america's main rival/villain or whatever. But that's what I like about these games the wacky-ness or the lack of seriousness in certain situations. With a change in voice it would be weird to see the different voice do the wacky lines and such but also they may not have as good delivery and this make the game as a whole feel more serious then intended..... basically Konami don't make this f***ing CoD or anything which from the trailer is not at all I know but I just want me some more mgs3 style stuff.

Here are my highlights of the year so far and I don't care when a game came out.

Binary Domain was surprisingly good and I hope they make another but ditch the relationship system.

Dead Island was really fun and I can't wait for their next game.

Kingdoms Of Amalur: Reckoning was awesome.
The Darkness 2 was a big improvement over the first game and I'm looking forward to the next one.

Binary Domain was surprisingly good and I hope they make another but expand/deepen the relationship system. Fix'd I want them to come up with more situations and more differences like different endings based on this to increase replayablity......... SCRAP THE MULTIPLAYER, SERIOUSLY Make singleplayer longer and make the skill system more convoluted!
