Hello, everyone! This is Eddie a.k.a. SonicHomeboy. Most of you may recognize my from GameSpot, DeviantART, or both. Anyway, I'm glad to be a part of the Giant Bomb community, and I hope to enjoy my stay here.

What is there to know about me? Hmm. Well, I'm a 21-year-old half-German, half Puerto Rican currently attending East Tennessee State University in hopes of becoming a game designer. My gaming started when my dad first purchased a Sega Genesis with John Madden Football '92 and Where In Time Is Carmen Sandiego. It wasn't until Sonic the Hedgehog 2 when I became serious about gaming, and that game alone makes it my #1 game of all time. Besides the Sega Genesis, I currently own a Super NES, two GameCubes (long story about that), a GBA SP, and a Nintendo DS Lite. There was a time when I did own a Sega Dreamcast. Unfortunately, something happened to it that I had to take it to Best Buy since I had a warranty for the system. With that I was able to get a GameCube, and the rest is history.....something like that.

My tastes in genres are varied when it comes to gaming. Most of the time I'll check out a game if I here it was well-received despite it being very popular or underrated. However, my favorites are action-adventure, puzzle-adventure, puzzle, RPG, racing, FPS, shoot-em up, beat-em up, run-and-gun, rythym-based, sports, and fighting.

In the past, I have been a bit of a fanboy for both Sega and Nintendo. Now that I've matured in my way of playing games, I really regret for ever acting that way. (This is why I still wish that I had an Xbox or a PS2.....especially a PS2.) Despite all that, I still have a soft spot for Sega and Nintendo (Hey, I still consider Sonic and Mario as equal even though I would pick Sonic overall. =P )

Now that I've talked enough about game, how about I discuss some of my other interests?

Music: Being a tuba player since my sixth grade year, I've been into a lot of music genres. My all-time favorite music genre would have to be ochestral movie soundtracks because I like to think that I'm in the movie as well whenever I listen to music from my favorite movies like Star Wars and Indiana Jones. Other favorite genres of my include contemporary Christian (d.c. Talk, Steven Curtis Chapman, Sanctus Real), classical (Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, Tchaikovsky), electronica (Juno Reactor, DJ Tiesto, DJ Sammy, Dirty Vegas), new age (Mannheim Steamroller, the Hearts of Space radio broadcast), rock (Creed, Sammy Hagar, Van Halen, Def Leppard, Foo Fighters, Hewy Lewis & The News, Coldplay), and game soundtracks (Medal of Honor, Sonic, SimCity 3000).

Movies: I am into movies as much as I am into games. Movies have become a huge part of my life that I wanted to be a movie director before I wanted to be a game designer. My taste in movies genres are a lot like my taste in game genres, and they range from action, adventure, suspence, thriller, comedy, sci-fi, and animation (American, European, and Japanese). If I were to create a list of the greatest movies of all time, I would have to put Star Wars and Raiders of the Lost Ark in the #1 spot. Those are hands-down the best movies I've ever seen. =D

TV: I'm not into TV as much as I used probably because there aren't that many programs that catch my interest. In the past I've grown up watching cartoons, and that's all I've ever done. Sure I'll watch some of G4, but only a couple of their shows interest me like X-Play and Ninja Warrior. However, I have been able to watch some anime since I kind of associate it with television. Curious as to what I've watched? Here's the list:

-Speed Racer
-Astro Boy (2003)
-majority of Inuyasha and the first three movies
-some of Bleach (now has my interest a lot)
-all four seasons of DBZ and all 13 movies
-Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi (TV edit)
-Colorful (TV edit)
-Last Exile
-some of Burst Angel
-the recent Appleseed movie (not the sequel though)
-all of Cowboy Bebop and the movie
-some of old Hellsing and the recent OVAs
-some of Naruto (starting to lose interest in it actually)
-Miyazaki movies: Nausicca, Castle in the Sky, My Neighbor Totoro, some of Porco Rosso, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, and Howl's Moving Castle
-Giant Robo: The Animation
-four OVAs of Slayers
-the first season of Ruroni Kenshin
-Jungle Emperor Leo movie (recent)
-Osamu Tezuka's Metropolis
-one disc of the original Astro Boy

Quite the list, huh? =P

Furry: Oh, boy! This is a touchy subject to get into. Yes, I do consider myself a furry (I mean I wolf fursona afterall named Eddie the Wolf), but I'm only interested in the clean anthro art. I won't deny that I've seen the darker side of it, but that doesn't mean that anyone in the fandom has to like it. That's why I have in my quote up top "is a rare furry" because I'm one of the few that can't stuff the sexual part of the art. I have been doing some drawing myself in the fandom, and I hope to improve on it as I go along. I know that I'm not going to be as great as many famous anthropomorphic artists, but it's something that I would like to be invovled in. :)

Hmm. I guess that about sums it up about myself. Feel free to ask me any questions regarding this bit of information. :)
