Best of 2013

Hedging my bets that I'll have played at least 10 games released in 2013 by the end of the year. Nailed it! Now enjoy this Dumb List for Cool Turkeys™, seeing as I probably won't be able to squeeze another one out next year.

List items

  • Good stuff. Great stuff, even! But nonetheless conflicting and ultimately disappointing, not to mention Nirasawa couldn't draw a set of abs to save his goddamn life, among other things.

  • The belated release of a Saturn classic and a welcome addition to an already burgeoning 3DS library. While not without blemishes it's straight up war, I'm Manitou and I ain't have'n it, that soul's mine keep it up before I'm grabbin it something something can't wait to get that finger licking soul up on my plate.

  • Superb, all the scantly dressed prepubescent wimmenfolk in the world could hardly deter my enjoyment. Well... yeah, maybe a little.

  • A charming experience from beginning to end, though I could do with more conservative use of the exclamation point. Three is simply pushing the boundaries of good taste, I think.

  • "Like an orphaned cabbage, you rolled straight into my trap" is certainly one of the better lines I've come across this year.

  • Another charmer, almost aggressively so. Calls to mind the sort of quirky fare that once dominated the Rhythm genre.

  • Neat! There are certainly worse ways to spend $7.99. Really, take me to the bank on this one.

  • Cute, if not tiresome and a bit on the nose. Well, that's probably putting it generously, but a killer soundtrack manages to elevate the experience.

  • Bit of an edge case, sure, but where else am I to find my CV fix in the year of our lord, 2013?

  • I had this going in the background of my browser for a few hours one day, and we've still got space to fill, so... yeah, Candy Box.

@eirikr: Oh, right, looks like the notification system is shot to hell. And yeah, go for it! At $7.99 and about three hours, there's really not much to lose.

The currently available DLC would clock in at $15.50, give or take a few cents. So it'll be $20.50 for the whole shebang.

@soren: Yeah, for some reason now I'm getting notifications when friends post new lists, so I saw it instantly. I need to check out Attack of the Friday Monsters. Maybe now that I finally have the $30 credit.

How much is the total for IV's grinding DLC + all the special battle ones so far?

@eirikr: Dang, that was quick! And yeah, that was essentially written for my fellow Soul Runna, haha.
