Imagine a circle around your feet, this is your neutral zone in which nothing your feet do will have any effect on the game. Put a foot outside of the neutral zone, and you're moving your character in that direction. For example, put one foot forward, and one foot left, and you're moving forward and left. It's a D-pad. Waist up, you aim and perform actions. The main problem is that Kinect will suck at aiming. Don't expect FPS games to work well. "
I thought about the D-pad option myself but moving around corners is a problem. I heard an interesting idea to use one hand for movement and one for the action stuff.
