@Phunk_King: No; he will often take an apprentice to teach his dark craft, but only one. This disciple is destined to eventually destroy Luchadeer, as Luchadeer destroyed his master long ago. Then, taking the reins of the world in his hand, he will call the armageddon.

It isn't that surprising that he didn't know. Luchadeer always works from the shadows. Whenever you see him, it's too late.

On topic, though, I recently played through Dawn of War (the first one, mind you) and most of it's expansions. Every mission's path to success was the same; turtle up, build up to the population cap, swarm enemy. Great game, too.

Nice!

@Afroman269:  Sorry about that. I included a TL;DR, to be fair.

@Tarsier: Because it needed to be told.

@JJWeatherman: Nice! I tried to get into the Xboxalypse, but the lag was a bit much, and I had plans the next day. :\

A bit of backstory; I've been a user of the site since the old blog/Arrow Pointing Down days, and I love everything about it.

Unfortunately, I live in rural Manitoba, Canada. We can't get broadband where we live, so I have to deal with unbearably high lag on Xbox Live, on nearly any game. Halo 3 is the worst culprit, being nigh unplayable. GB's videos used to take forever to load up, until we got a half-decent WiMax connection - said WiMax is noticeably faster, but most games still lag like crazy, including Halo 3.

So, when I downloaded the Reach beta like everyone else on Monday, I expected the worst. Instead, I was greeted with no lag. This has never happened to me before. Here, all games lag online, it's just a matter of how much. No lag. I don't know how many gallons of goat blood Bungie had to sacrifice to get the netcode to work like this, but I don't care. This is the best online multiplayer experience I've ever had, just because there's no lag.

When the next TNT game was announced to be the Reach beta, I knew that I had to get in. This would be the only chance I would ever have to play online with the GB crew, because no other game works nearly as well as Reach does on my connection. I sent a friend request to GBTNT as fast as I could, and I camped my friends list like a mofo. I was highly confused as to how everything would work, how I would be selected, and so forth; I didn't know that if you just got onto their friends list you had a good chance of getting to play. So, I hopped online at about 5PM CST, played a few rounds of Covy Slayer, and then sat around in the lobby, waiting for 6:00, which would be 4PM PDT.

Funny story: GBTNT appeared online before 6:00, maybe about 5:40? Again, in Central Standard Time. Anyway, their lobby was open, and it was already flooding with guys. I got in with maybe five or six spots left, and the room quickly filled up. Whoever was using the account at the time tried to start a match, but apparently lobbies of 16/16 people can't start games, because no playlists support 8v8 or 16-man FFA yet. GBTNT quit, and the other guys in the lobby started wondering if they should invite the guys back or if everyone present should quit. The Throwdown started, and a bit of live commenting started as we watched the stream. Eventually, everyone quit.

The stream. Everyone who's reading this has probably seen it. Fast forward to 1:12 or so, I'm SoylentGreen93 (or Shiny, as Ryan said). I had no idea why my badge was sparkling, and I didn't care! I was getting into a game that I'd been waiting a whole hour to be invited to! One-Flag CTF on Sword Base was chosen as the gametype and map, which was neat, because I like that particular combination, and I'd played it several times before. I was also happy to see that GBTNT (Drew, at the time) was on the other team. The match started, and my team was on offense. I ran for the flag as soon as the match started, threw a grenade as everyone does in that situation (I think that's the one that gets thrown through the doorway in front of Drew at the very beginning), and died. The match continued.

At one hour and fifteen minutes into the stream, I armor lock, kill Drew, and proceed to teabag the corpse for a fleeting second or two, before I am killed. These few seconds made the confusion and the wait all worth it. To be honest, I didn't know for a moment that I had actually killed him, but when I saw a corpse on the ground and several angry teammates of his headed my way, I got in as much teabagging as humanly possible in the amount of time I was given. I never meant it as a derogatory statement; it was more like a greeting - "Hey, Drew! This is me teabagging you! Hey, say something!", or something like that. He did say something, and I happily respawned and went on my way. A big thank-you to the GB crew for putting this on, and to everyone who managed to participate. I had a blast!

TL;DR: I teabagged Drew.

Anyone else got any stories? Gamertag is SoylentGreen93, if anyone's interested in some Reach at some point in the next month.

@tylerjacob: No, it's my opinion that that's just Charlton Heston's opinion.
