HEY-O!
THIS LIST IS BOTH DANGEROUS AND SAFE TO LOOK AT
VIEW WITH CAUTION
EXCRETION IS ADVISED BEFOREHAND

Games I haven't spent enough time on to really shove them in this list - though I could really see them fitting in:

Games I gotta play more of
Donkey Kong Country Returns
Super Meat Boy
 Assassins Creed: Brotherhood
 Civilization V

List items

  • The continued support of its DLC and the rich universe Mass Effect 2 expands on made this a no-brainer for it to be my GOTY.

  • Two things Blizzard does right here, 1.create an easy-to-approach game for newcomers whilst having extreme layers of depth & 2.get you excited for sequels.

Although the multiplayer is a zone I'd rather not attempt to tread in, the single player alone stood out as an experience I want more of.

  • All sorts of crazy, rewarding in all moments of gameplay via game mechanics and reaction time. The self-awareness and what-the-fuck Japanese crap layered on top is the reason I treasure this game so high on this list.

  • More of the same, which is just what everyone wanted.

  • A multiplayer experience very reminiscent of the original Battlefield games, my only hope is that complexity is explored in Battlefield 3 and the player count raised.

  • An RPG-ass RPG, no other RPG this year really made me sink so many hours in to it.

  • Zelda with a heavy Comic book vibe? HEY I LIKE WHERE YOU'RE GOING WITH THIS

  • Outstanding landscapes with great character design, I was totally engrosed in Rockstar's Western universe up until they swapped my character out at the end for some annoying gobshite.

  • Hey, I still like World of Warcraft. Not as much as I use to, but enough to reach max level and get my Azeroth-got-merced experience.

  • A final hurrah for plastic instruments? A setlist lacking to its new instrument(the keyboard), I found most of my time being spent on my previous Rock Band Library.
