Well, I still like books but I admit some of that may be because I've never read anything of length off a Kindle or tablet. However, I agree with getting rid of CD/DVD/BDs eventually. Digitally stored media is so much easier to manage and store than physical discs. Now, the downside so far is that it can't be resold, however I foresee someone coming along and figuring out a business model for that, too. Honestly, when I've already plumped myself down in front of the TV, I don't want to have to get back up again to change the disc. I've grown just that lazy.

My other gripe would be cables. I long for the day when except for plugging in the power supply, everything else is connected wirelessly. That means the consoles, media storage/player device, computer, etc...are all connected to the TV without any wires. My PC is connected to my monitor without wires just as my keyboard is today. This also goes for external hard drive, printers, and other peripherals. In turn, all of them can be accessed on my TV or any other device such as a tablet or phone. Cables suck and we need to get rid of all but the most necessary. I know there is science that even removes the need for the power cable, so one day that will go, too. If I am still around to see that come to pass, I'll do a jig...and probably break a hip.

funny thing is that tesla had the idea for wirless power way back in the 1920s

it was actually pretty awesome how he was gonna do it. By having giant tesla coils that would generate eletric fields that would power wirless devices. it was outlandish as hell but he got the basic premise right.

This happened about 10 minutes away from where I work. I've never really been in that area before and outside of a guy I met in a class that is a practicing Sikh, I have never really known anyone of the Sikh faith. This is the kind of thing that everyone tends to think could never happen where they live, until it does. I have not felt so disheartened in such a long time and in all honesty I always was one of those people who just thought this was something that would just never happen in their town. Then I am reminded that a similar incident happened several years ago, though because of different circumstances, and that this is just a reminder that people can at times just be completely awful. It is assuring though that at the times people are just being complete monsters, there are people who step up and try to bring the community back together.

I have never really seen a lot of the racist undertones in this community that were displayed by this individual who committed this atrocity, and I hope that this is really just a one time thing. I am proud for my community though for really stepping up and helping others who are different from the majority of the local population. It is awful that these things happen, and even I know that we will probably never live in a world where they do not occur. I am really just hoping that the majority of society can stay on the right path and we can continue to live in a world where events like these are seen as completely heinous and never to be celebrated.

there always that one bad apple....plus we are the biggest melting pot in the world id say were doing just fine

I'm 24, why should I care?

Once I have children, I'd probably not let them play M-rated games before 16 or so. Depends on the game. Skyrim isn't exactly hardcore material.

Don't understand why parents buy their 12 year olds the newest Call of Duty games, though. That's just fucked up.

the lusty argonian maid would beg to differ

I dont know i played the first medal of honor when i was 8. never had detention when i was in highschool it really depends on the child's maturity level.

A Rip-Off means that it is a bad imitation of the original product. The few people that have played it said good things about it. I don't think you can call it a rip off unless it's bad. Otherwise it borrows heavily from Smash Bros. There needs to be more Mascot games in the SSB style so Nintendo has more direct competition. Games like Dissidia and Castlevania Judgement are too different to compete with Smash Bros. A company as big as Sony with a crazy roster has enough of a chance to compete with Nintendo and force them to try harder. This game does enough to differentiate itself with it's UI, how one can obtain supers, the levels being combinations of franchises, how opponents are defeated, etc. But it does so while maintaining the base that SSB has started which is how a lot of video game genres start. I can only see this being a good thing if the end product turns out pretty good.

It's not like the existence of this game prevents Sony from making or publishing more creative games.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale was originally going to be developed by Naughty Dog who was in the middle of the development of The Last of Us. Publisher Sony Computer Entertainment therefore decided to form SuperBot Entertainment in 2009 specifically to work on the game.

T___T i really would've liked to have seen how naughty dog would've handled it

i just dont see what the big deal is.... I mean there are games like Defense of the ancients or league of legends that have very similar mechanics and gameplay.

yet I don't see them as being ripoffs of one another... you can still be the same and be different
