It has to do with the quality that would be demanded on the other consoles. "
And that's kinda my point. The majority of games on the Wii don't have high production values. And the ones that do are either first-party Nintendo games (which will never come to other consoles) or high-profile third party games that are designed specifically for the Wii. Since this is not a budge Tales game but a flagship title, it would go to logic that this game would be at a similar quality level to previous flagship titles such as Abyss or Vesperia. But I suppose we'll have to wait and see when it comes out. But in reality whether or not a publisher releases a game on other platforms, regardless of whether the original IP is for the Wii or not, depends on profitability. If the publisher believes that the game will be profitable on other consoles, it will release the game on other consoles.

The issue isn't feasibility.  Most Wii games don't get ported to other consoles.
Wii Metacritic list
Xbox360 Metacritic List
PS3 Metacritic ListThat isn't to say that the PS3 or Xbox360 have titles unique to their respective platforms, but nearly none of them have the same Wii games that are out.  There are few exceptions such as Guitar Hero and Call of Duty. "
True but Tales of Graces is supposed to be Namco/Bandai's next flagship Tales game (meaning higher production values and development costs), so it would be strange for them not to release some version of it on the 360 and/or PS3. If this was a game that was specifically taylored to the Wii and it's control scheme then I could see it not coming to the other consoles. But that's not really the case here. It makes commercial sense for Namco/Bandai to put this game out on multiple consoles, especially considering that new IPs generally suffer the most on the Wii.

Timed exclusives don't apply to the Wii.  Because the Wii is so underpowered, it isn't going to be ported to the PS3 and Xbox360. "
Well Tales of Vesperia for 360 wasn't exactly very demanding graphically speaking. And the trailers for Graces look about the same, just lower resolution. So it's very feasible to port over a version of it to the 360 or PS3.

To the end consumer, sure. "
Well it goes to logic that publishers would make more money if they released games on multiple consoles. Especially with a "core" game like Graces that probably won't appeal to the majority of the Wii install base (which are probably "casual" gamers)

" A while ago, they used the same harebrained argument to belittle the PC market and explain why "God of War 2" won't be released on the PC. What a sad irony, as he is still describing EPIC as a "PC developer". If they want to alienate the Wii crowd as well, I say let them. "
I think you mean Gears of War 2. Also I think he was talking about piracy when he was referring to the PC market --> which is a sentiment many developers share.

Well a game's climax is generally the point where the plot is at its peak so it make sense that it would be more dramatic. I think this is true of games in general, not just JRPGs. But you're right in saying that JRPGs in general tend to be pretty melodramatic.

I doubt it. Call of Duty 4 & WAW didn't even have support for a gamepad, so GFWL seems unlikely. Not to mention there are very specific requirements that have to be met before a game can be released under GFWL.

Since Epic mainly produces first and third person shooters (with significant online components), their style of game probably wouldn't be a good fit for the Wii anyway, regardless of the Wii's graphical capabilities.

" That pretty much sucks, but is Tales of Graces really the only exclusive wii game that would ever interest you?  You could enjoy great games such as Super Mario Galaxy or Metroid Prime 3 while your at it. "
This may sound blasphemous but I'm not really a big mario fan. But you're right, there are few other games on the Wii that I would probably be interested in once I buy it, but so far Tales of Graces is the only game on the Wii that is a system seller for me.

So Tales of Graces is coming exclusively for the Wii this year and for the first time in ages, I'm actually considering buying the Wii so I can play this game. Before this, I've had little to no desires to purchase a Wii other than for purely malevolent purposes. But I absolutely loved Tales of the Abyss and Tales of Vesperia and from the looks of Graces, I will most likely love this game as well. And since most games these days are timed exclusives, it's likely that Graces will come to the 360 and PS3 one of these days (but also most likely quite a while after the Wii release). Unfortunately I'm not a man of patience so there's a 50-75% chance I will  end up buying a Wii so I can play this game ASAP.

And then after finishing the game I'll basically be left with a $250 paper weight. I love you Nintendo.

Can't believe I'm saying this but I may have to buy a Wii just to play this game. Looks awesome.
