Good luck Patrick. And after watching your epic performance of 'Click Click Boom', I can totally understand why you chose now as the time to move on. How were you ever going to be able to top that? I look forward to seeing what you do next. Whatever it is, I hope it will involve creating more content somewhere. Yours is a voice that needs to be heard now more than ever. Thanks for everything you've done and will continue to do in the future!

I'm not a big RTS guy, but I've played a few and Brutal Legend was the first console RTS that didn't make me want to immediately reach for a mouse. Unfortunately, it just wasn't the game that I wanted. I really wanted Brutal Legend to be the game it was through the first third - an open world third person action game. I found myself dreading every single stage battle, so much so that I haven't completed the last two battles to finish the game. Running around the world and finding collectibles and killing monsters was a lot of fun though.

I typically wait for game prices to drop before purchasing them, mainly because I have a mountain of games in my backlog so I'm in no hurry. However, I do occasionally buy new games, mostly due to hype or peer pressure. Sometimes the hype will get to me and I have to play a certain game RIGHT NOW! Other times, I buy a game so that I can enjoy it with my friends before they all get bored of it an move on. In some rare cases, I will buy a game for full price at release just to experience the story before it can be spoiled for me by the internet or by a podcast. For instance, I bought Portal 2 day one so I could play through it before the story details started to get out. I will probably do the same with Uncharted 3.

Any time a director suddenly starts revisiting the grounds of their past glories (first Aliens then Blade Runner), especially following a streak of almost 10 years of movies that had a lukewarm reception at best, it's natural to be skeptical. That being said, there is a lot in the Blade Runner universe that has yet to be explored. If the movie is good, then we all win. If it's bad then no big deal because this sequel (or prequel - whatever it ends up being) is supposed to stand on its own which means it can easily be ignored without ruining your enjoyment of the original. I think Ridley Scott is still a great director though and I think this movie has every chance of being awesome.

Definitely stay away from the sequel novels by K.W. Jeter though. Those were disappointing.
