I was going to finish up a large project on the Eurogamer server but by all appearances I won't be able to do so before the Halloween update. The plan for the EG server is to create a new world, start fresh. It is still unknown weither the current server map will be available for play. So until then I have decided not to continue any projects.
I feel like a drug addict wanting his next doze. For some reason I really really need to play Minecraft but I can't : '( Hearing words of this being because of an attack, other servers down as well. Probably China trying to steal the internetz again...
Saw The American yesterday. Strange movie, not bad but not super good either. Played a little bit of Minecraft with my friends. Found a massive cave and got lost. We need to set up more server tools (sethome etc) for an easy way to get back. Tried out Dynasty Warriors Online. Okay-ish.
I realised that I still have some ways to go on my current Minecraft project. I'll have to see where it is by the end of the day.
Did some of that work thing today. Bought Cities XL 2011. Going to see a movie in about 1 hour or so.
After that I have a number of options: - watch some TV - play games - sleep
I'll probably end up doing all of them. This weekend my main goal is to finish my current project in Minecraft and provide a day to day blog journal for my next one.
Yesterday I tested out that Cataclysm thing. 'Twas strange going into a game I left a few years back. Only played for an hour though so not much to tell. In any case there is most likely some NDA thingy waving its finger in a oh no you don't way.
Then today I bought Guild Wars: Eye of the North in preparation for Guild Wars 2. Waiting on Cities XL 2011 to be available on Steam. Need to see weither I'll get the 50% off on Steam or if I'll have to go through CXL2011 webstore - and what the price is on Steam. Normally the games are cheaper on Steam compared to other online services, although for GW Eye of the North it was cheaper for me to buy straight from NCSoft store in Euros. Sure, in the US or UK you would probably get these games cheaper in brick and mortar. That's not an option for me however since the stores that sell games here even still overprice console launch titles. That's what you get when you live on an island in the North Atlantic.
I guess I'll just head back into Minecraft and continue on my project. Lovely stuff.
Today I did some Giantbomb Quests. I was disappointed that I didn't know as much as I thought I knew about games and the industry. So I decided to drown my worries in some orange juice and so-bad-it's-good TV. I'm back on the Quest hunt now however and ready to do the same self discovery all over again.
I've been having an ongoing debate with myself to go and wash my car. It's been going on for a month now and my car is now red-brownish rather than the original red it is supposed to be. I should really get off my semi-flubby buttocks and do something about that. I just might. Maybe.
