  • This is my #1 favorite game of all time. I enjoyed the ride it took me on more than any TV show or movie I've ever seen and if games continue this way I think there will be a shift in how people view interactive entertainment.

  • This game started the extremely complex tale of the Patriots and leaned the Metal Gear franchise towards Science Fiction. While most people see this as a bad thing, I love the idea. It really was the first game that was so complex that you only get out of it what you put into it, meaning how intently you pay attention affects how much you will understand subsequent titles. It was also a great game, let's not forget that!

  • MGS3 refined the MGS series' mechanics a lot while bringing the technology at Snake's disposal backwards in time. I loved the fourth-wall moments like when Snake climbs up a ladder for five minutes as the theme song plays softly in the background. It also had an amazing story which I thoroughly enjoyed.

  • This game holds a special place in my heart because it had such an amazing launch event to attend in New York City. That was one of the coolest things I've ever done and I thank Microsoft for putting it together. But on to the actual game, Halo 3 wrapped up the story nicely and polished the gameplay to more than a mirror shine. It's such a solid game that it's a professional sport in the MLG, their poster boy for competitive gaming. The graphics are amazing, and technically better than Call of Duty 4's abstract backgrounds and blurry textures (not to say CoD4 isn't an amazing game as well, but this game always unjustly took a back seat to CoD4's praise) and had perfect online implementation. The Forge, Save Film and Screenshot features were some of the best ideas in gaming history, and the Bungie.net Halo 3 community is stronger than that of any game ever, rating peoples' work and sharing with the world. You will never find a better package than this, I don't care how hard you try. You are getting more entertainment for $60 (or even $130) than you will get with anything you can ever do for the price in your lifetime. Period.
