Doom Eternal is tough, but still very fun. Also, Animal Crossing is a good way to start the day! Getting my new house in AC tomorrow.

Games/Game Series That Need Ressurection

Be it either fond memories, great gameplay, or just downright awesomeness, here's some games and series that seem to have been on hiatus for too long. Wouldn't it be great if these came back? I'm sure it would, right? AGREE WITH ME. NOW! Or don't, that's fine too.

List items

  • Okay, I know that there's the MMO based in this universe coming, but c'mon, it ain't the same! I want my galaxy-spanning single-player experience back, please!!

  • So, even though there's only been two games in this series, and only one that I've ever played (Xbox), I'd like more. The fiction of the world of Crimson Skies is really cool, and deserves to be explored further. And besides, roguish sky pirates are awesome any day of the week.

  • Who doesn't love giant robots? No one, that's who. (you're just lying to yourself if you say you do) While there was some talk of a fifth game in the series, there's been little to go on in the "giant stompy mechs" category as of late. I'd love it if they'd just get it over with and either confirm that 5 is coming, so I can take this off my list!

  • While the story may make you scratch your head (as it did me), the draw of these games was the combat system. Really interesting and unique, in it's own right. I'd love a current-gen update to this franchise, if only to see the weird world in high-res detail.

  • I bet you if you ask anyone with a PS2 if they have/had the first game in this series, they'd probably say yes. The reason? Because it came with the MGS2 demo! OMG! But, how many of you played ZOE? ... Yeah, I thought so. Anyway, with it's own brand of mech combat, the ZOE games were actually really fun, once you got used to them. Hey, how about, instead of more MGS, we take a chance on bringing this back, Kojima-san?

  • Weren't we promised a sequel to this? I do believe it ended on a cliffhanger. (don't quote me on that, it's been a while) But, the whole "gun porn" focus was genius, and somehow worked amazingly well. How come we don't go back to this? Every shooter I've played lately (with the exception of Bulletstorm) seem to all have the same/similar firearms. And it's BORING! And don't you dare say "Bodycount is coming out and it's from the same guy" because I don't care. It's not the same! *nyah!*

  • The Blue Bomber was a staple of my childhood (as I'm sure he was of yours), and his X iteration only made they guy that much cooler. If Capcom can bring back Mega Man in the form of 8-bit throwbacks 9 and 10, why not a new 16-bit style X game? It seems the only logical step!

  • Before you say it, yes, I know Deadly Descents is coming. It just doesn't look like they're going to be honoring the true spirit of the franchise. Sure, there hasn't been much shown of DD, and maybe it will turn out to be fine. But I want to be boarding through a GIANT PINBALL MACHINE, DAMMIT!!

  • Just one more, please? The things this game did to me were inexplicable, and shaped my young, adolescent mind into what it is today.

    ...

Either that, or I just liked it altogether too much.

  • How the hell didn't a second one of these get made?!
