Only had a chance to play like a minute of the tutorial not even the whole tutorial but yep it's amplitude I think I'm going to play it using my hitbox because I am a monster.

@technician: No specific date announced but they're supposed to be timed for the release of SFV. Preorders look like they're available on the site.

For me, I picked up my first stick when SFIV came out after playing a lifetime on pad. I'm still not quite as accurate when it comes to directional inputs but way better with multiple button inputs and stuff like plinking. That said, it seems like SFV is doing away with all the really tough advanced button techniques so I don't know that there's any significant reason to use either pad or stick outside of personal preference. Also Tekken players tend to favor pad in general so that's another thing to consider.

Or be like me and buy the one true fighting game controller.

Hitbox training hour one:

  • already more consistent with double QCF motions
  • working on getting 360s down only at like 70% right now
  • relying on ring finger for all left inputs seems really dicey
  • left arm feels like fuck

@gamer_152: Part of me wishes I went through with it because then it would really be a story instead of almost a story.

SFV by far. It really feels like it's made for old guys like me.

@excitable_misunderstood_genius: I dunno I think this game is a lot more fun to actually interact with. AdVenture Capitalist is a much better game to ignore and check in every hour or so.

Can't justify the ~$500 PC upgrade plus the $200-more-than-expected sticker price on the rig. Right now I'm looking at PSVR as my most likely entry point.

I dunno, I usually go for some unnecessary convenience item that is for something so minor I could never justify buying it for myself but would probably get a lot of use out of. Mostly kitchen stuff.

EDIT: That and like, Legos because I can never justify buying Legos but will never not have fun building a set someone else buys me. Ask for that crazy $350 Lego Ghostbusters Firehouse. Fuck do I want that but will never ever ever spend money on.
