@SinGulaR: That essay's in German? That's pretty hardcore!
@Pazy: Good luck with Twilight. I got about 200 pages in before I lost all of my patience with it. Also, the movie is the worst thing I've ever seen in my life (Jensonb and I did a commentary as a Counter Culture Weekly Christmas special). Also, regarding non-franchise books, I think Infected by Scott Sigler would be a good book to check out. It's basically The Stand crossed with CSI. Only with 100% less Walkin' Dudes. On the subject of Stephen King, I think you'll like a lot of his stuff as well. I personally recommend Carrie and Misery, as they're relatively quick and easy to read.
Yes, I know what you're thinking. "SteepInKline, reading is dumb!" That may be, but that won't stop me from doing it every once in a while. Currently, I'm catching up on The Dresden Files series, as the new book, Changes, just came out. I'm on book 10, Small Favor, so I've got to get a move on if I want to catch up. What about you guys? What have you been reading lately?
I'm still writing fiction, albeit on an irregular schedule (thanks, AP Euro term paper!). Since I last blogged, I've started two works-in-progress that I hope to turn into novels at some point.
I still like anime (and thus, according to Jeff Gerstmann, am still a jerk). I've applied for a panel at Otakon 2010 entitled Anime and the Heroic Journey. Though I won't hold my breath expecting you to come, if you're in Baltimore, MD from July 30th-August 1st, it's probably not the worst thing you could attend, even with all the crazy cosplayers and stupid fanfiction writers.
Helicopters are still a threat.
Well, having said all of that, I'm SteepInKline, and I'm Oscar Mike.
Gentlemen, gentlemen, let's not be little bitches and start a flame war in this podcast thread. Let's be mature adults in this situation and chill the fuck out.
@diz: Stop overthinking things. We get it, you think the podcast is dumb. Quit trying to tell us in excruciating detail WHY you don't like it. No matter how many big words you use, you do not (and WILL not) sound smart; in fact, you sound just the opposite.
