In my opinion they should port shenmue 1 for XBL and add shenmue 2 to the xbox originals, that wouldn't been too expansive and a greater audience would get to know shenmue. I mean who isn't interested in playing a 60 million dollar game, it would be worth a try. They could also release the first two installments on PSN depending on the legal stuff between sega and microsoft. Shenmue was unsuccessful because no one ever got to play it...
Get Rich out of his studio, he ruled at GS! I think he said that he left the west coast for personal reasons... I think it's time for him to come back, again for personal reasons, I mean you guys are friends right? And especially for your present concept of the site, where you do more media stuff and less direct game reviewing he would be great in front of the camera. Well but I guess I don't have to tell you this, you figured this out yourself I guess, which means that Rich doesn't want to come back... :( Anyway have fun with him at PAX, let him know the community misses him!
I got mine in Germany, my Grandma bought it for me when I was in elementary school I think. Like some other RPGs on the SNES (Secret of Mana, Lufia, Secret of Evermore) it came in a bigger box, bundled with a game guide. Playing this game was so much fun, the story telling was awesome and there was so much to discover. I also liked the atmosphere. For example when I came into the town where the Beruga people lived I felt a little uneasy. Or that time when you die and get reborn... that game was and still is deluxe!
