@brandoncooper17:
Honestly, this might be a sensitive subject on this site, but you have one life to live, then you're worm food.  Play games, sure.  But don't play 60 hours of WoW (or anything) a week.  There are too many women who need sex to do this.  Do it for the women.

The Pacific was probably the biggest dissapointment in the history of television.

I waited 5 years since they first started releasing details about the show.  I followed the blog, I watched interviews, I stayed in touch with who was directing which episode.  What we ended up with was a serious with some of the worst character development ever.  You don't care about the characters, you don't care about their plight, the Australia episode (#2 or #3 I think) was completely over dramatic, very much out of place and focused on one character.  By the 5th episode I asked myself and my friends how many characters we could name.  2 was the most.  It was over produced and a complete mess.

Anybody who even thinks about comparing a masterpiece like Band of Brothers to this dreck should check their medication.

I did, and I surprisingly liked the first one much better.  Something about keeping the same army throughout made you give a shit about them.
 Forgot to mention Warcraft, sorry.

Just finished Age of Empires III for the fourth time.  So good.  I just ordered AoEII + Titans expansion from Amazon and Age of Mythologies.  I've played most of them, but for you RTS lovers...is there one I'm missing?

Over the years I've played and finished:

  • All Command & Conquer games (even the godawful Generals) + all of the Red Alerts
  • Both StarCraft games
  • Age of Empires I & III
  • Both Supreme Commander games
  • Both Battle for Middle Earth games
  • Both Company of Heroes games
  • Both Dawn of War games
  • Dune 2000 (yeah, I'm 31 yrs old now.  Deal with it.)
  • World in Conflict
  • Sins of a Solar Empire
  • Warcraft games

Anything I'm missing that you guys recommend?

I'm still blown away that GT5 has jaggies everywhere - I mean aliasing in a racing game is bound to happen if you attempt to run it as 60FPS, but nothing like this.  I was really shocked when I watched the Quick Look during the snow-rally races.  It just looks like a PS2 game.  I remember when GT came out in 1997 (holy crap that was 13 years ago) and the visuals just blew my mind.  The replays, it looked real!    This just looks...meh.

The tracks, the vehicle models and the effects look much better in the Hot Pursuit that just came out.  I mean, it's Polyphony  - this game's been in development for how many years now?  These visuals are just unacceptable, especially for Polyphony.

I'm still rocking out SoTN on PSP.  I'll head back to my DS once I finish it (again) :)
