Sour Hour with Lemon(March 10 2009)

Alright, so last night was pretty awesome. My friend invited to his apartment to hang out and play some SF4 on ps3. For all you people that do not think that there is a difference between the ps3 and 360 version, there is. The PSN network community for street fighter is a lot easier than 360's Live. We won 20+ ranked matches in row on PSN. I only have managed to get 7 ranked wins in a row on xbox live.

Finals week is coming up so I'm going to be quite busy. After that, spring break will be a Godsend to me:) Must catch up on Mass Effect but SF4 is just too damn addicting. Here's a little something floating on Youtube.

Enjoy.

Sour Hour with Lemon(March 9 2009)

Alright so I am back. I went on a little vacation at home for the weekend. I went to see Watchmen. I tried seeing it on Imax but it was all sold out. But whatever, it's not like the movie needed to be seen on Imax to be enjoyed. Strek Trek and Transformers 2 on the otherhand is a must on Imax :) I guess I'll start off with a short review of the film.

Note: Never have and never will read the comics!

Pros: Story, Acting, Visual Effects(minus the cat thing), Great direction, The nude blue guy is awesome!, Perfect example of a Kantian world (ethics).
Cons: Long, Minutemen felt a little rushed, Sex scenes could have been a bit more tasteful (Not the blue guys, 'cuz that was hillarious.
I thought it was a lot better than 300. Not as good as Sin City. So if you like Sin City, you should like this too!

So that was Friday.

Saturday, however, I spent my whole day on my ass talking to my girlfriend on the phone while playing online SF4. I won a fair share of matches with Ken and Zangief. I watched Saturday Night Live w/ guest Dwayne "the rock" Johnson. I thought he was actually pretty funny.

So that was Saturday.

Sunday was quite awesome. I got the New U2 album No Line on the Horizon and it is amazing. I just listened to that all day until I had to get back to school.

Alright enough small talk. Let's get something a bit more interesting. I'm not sure if any of you guys are the younger brother like I am. I am six years apart from my older brother. He is living with his girlfriend in a pretty nice apartment right now, but they are thinking about buying a temporary home. The rent they pay for their current apartment is practically the same rent for a home. Trust me I'm going somewhere with this. It just hit me this weekend that my brother is old now. Not old in the sense that he's 30/40 or anything. I just mean that he's at the time to start actually making children and possibly buying a house instead of just thinking about that. Right now, I'm still just thinking about kids, work, wife, and a house. My brother on the other hand, is actually DOING these things. And it just blows me away to know how far my brother and I have come in such a short time.

So that's that. You know what day it is.

Creative Monday Blog!

Alright so steve's trying to beat the mile high club but fails every time. I getting better and better at street fighter but school is keeping me busy. I need to study more. U2 is fucking awesome. I need to go to more concerts. I am so full right now. Fried rice needs to be more soy saucy. the next thing ill buy is going to something for my girlfriend because I feel that most definitely deserves it. Now I need to stop keeping my laundry on the floor.

Analysis: not as exciting as the last weeks, but it will do. Probably because I'm so tired right now. Until tomorrow, take care, and have fun.

Alright, so I'm in my game design course right now. Proffessor is talking about camera rotations at the moment. Not really paying attention since he usually posts his stuff on the class website. I made my first 3D model pretty quickly yesterday in Blender. It was a perfect heart lol. Not very difficult, but just a nice steady hand to grab some vertices and place them where they need to be. I beat Dead Air with my friend steve on normal last night. Only one more scenario to go so that I never have to play that game again. Man I wish that game was longer...

I did not go see Watchmen, I was planning on seeing it in Imax but my other friend "Joe Jesus"  (the nickname I gave to him) could not give us a ride to San Francisco that late :(

class will be over in about a half hour. Then I'm going to hit the lap so that I can finish my program. Need to get that done so that I can go home.

So that was a quickie, I'll fill you later with more things, depending on how busy I am.

Note: "Joe Jesus" was given that nickname by me, cuz he looks like Jesus.

Sour Hour with Lemon

Alright I'm back. I'm cool, calm, and collected, which means that I can now act rationally without human opinion. That's right folks. Just a little excerpt from philosopher Michael Smith. Why do I bring this up? Well first and foremost, philosophy is cool. Second, because that was the subject of my aforementioned essay. I also did quite well on my Linear Algebra exam. Don't know the scores yet, but at least I "Feel" I did ok. B-ish I hope.

So that's what happened today. I'll get back to that later in the blog.

So yesterday was pretty interesting. It rained cats and dogs all day here in Santa Cruz. I was mostly indoors studying with my classmates of whom presumably have some beef with each other. Kevin is quarter white (make fun of him about this), but he still looks Philipino. My best friend Steve is full Philipino. Infact, I can demonstrate his Philpinoness to you via my twitter account that I mentioned about 4 blogs ago. LemonPuddingPop is my username and the user icon is my friend Steve. I'll end up changing that picture soon enough though so don't miss your chance to see him represent his asianess.

So back to the Kevin Steve beef. Steve has been having a bad week, possibly girl issues, or maybe he's just having a bad week. I know that happens to me sometimes. Kevin has aparently been having a bad week as well. His problems, however, stem from girl/relationships issues that are quite complicated and would need it's own separate blog for this. So Kevin invited Steve to go to the gym with him yesterday and everything went along fine. That is until Steve sort of verbally took out his anger on Kevin. No fighting, He nor I, never put ourselves in a situation where we need to fight. I was just a response of ill words said to each other built on by having "A bad week." They got over it, and their cool now. We're all just a bunch of stressed students, trying to understand adulthood at this point.

So that was that.

Going back to today, however, is whole different story. After I took my midterm, I went to go start my essay that was due today March 4 at 7:00pm PST. I thought I could just go to lecture late and hand in my paper as the class was departing, but I got there too late. The proffessor ended up closing his show 20 minutes early. So I worked decently hard, (could have done better if I had more time) for this OPTIONAL take home midterm only to get nothing in return :( I emailed my TA (teaching assistant) my paper in hopes that he would at least take a look at it. So cross your fingers for me!

This blog has gone long enough but there is still a promise to keep.

Ceative Monday Blog!

Note: this is to make up for last monday's non-existant creative monday blog.

"So there was this chick right. Her name was lola she was a cow girl. Not to mention that we could have spotted left right windosills and still had time to place Bruce Willin in a tree with more than eight snakes! When do the willows and birds fly over the crows's Nest? Why is the sky blue. I remember when the light first entered my room, and it then that I discovered what it felt like to be a woman with no pants. Robin Hood Men in Tights is the funniest movie of all time. Lets make some tea."

What's in quotes is not edited at all. This all just popped out from my head into words.
I'm curious to see what your thoughts are on this piece before I make my conclusions. Until then, take care GiantBomb community.

NOTE: the creative blog has rules. I write non-stop for 3 minutes about whatever pops into my head. Not a spelling or error fix is allowed either. Just in case you were wondering about the content :)

Sour Hour with Lemon

This will be a short one, since I'm running out of time. Yes midterms again. Here is yet another teaser to mention for tomorrows Blog. My friend last year set me up with the roommates that I currently have. Well yesterday. That friend came over to play some street fighter with me. So he comes in and greets everyone like a gentlemen, including the bitches. I say bitches only because that is what they are. Not a sexist, just telling you the type of girls they are. So he says "Hi" to Teresa and Breah, as their walking back to their rooms, but none of them respond back. He turns to me as I'm laughing my ass off and says, "What bitches" Theres a bit more that went down today. I'll make sure to put that up for tomorrow. Maybe later if I have time. But until then take care.

Alright so I'm back with another totally awesome super kick-ass fantastic blog. I'm beign dramatic for a reason here. Why is this so? Well I've just enrolled in some classes for next quarter. Two of which are just easy busy classes. The other one will be the equivalent of satan's asshole. Notice, how the difference in tone this blog is compared to my other ones. That's because midterms are creeping up on me so fast. That's not even the worst part. I have a programming assignment due next monday, but I wanted to go home this weekend. I'm going to have to figure out how to get this thing done before friday so I can enjoy my weekend with my family and girlfriend.

ITS JUST DO DAMN EASY TO PROCRASTINATE!!!

So I'm pretty excited for Watchmen this weekend. Probably going to catch the midnight showing with a couple of buddies :)  My brother's birthday is coming up on the 12th and I'm not really sure what he's doing. He's turning 25 so I'm not really sure if he even wants to hang out with me that day lol. I'm not at drinking age. Yes I abide by the rules, but every now and then I break them :)

My friend Steve and I got lost on the bus today. It just took us all around campus and then finally got to our friends apartment. Highlight of the day is that i managed to beat up to level 4 on hard challenge mode with Ken today in SF4. (the one where you have to do the combos)

I've been making fun of my white friends lately (jokingly ofcourse) by mentioning there "fixed gear" bikes like every 2 minutes. Tomorrows blog will be very special. Monday blogs are creative writing blogs. I will write non-stop for 3 minutes typos and all then reflect on that piece. ofcourse there will be the usuall log entry for me but you'll enjoy it :)

untill next time GB community

Sour Hour with Lemon

Alright, so Brea and Teresa cleaned the entire apartment yesterday. It was definitely a nice thing for them to do and everyone in the apartment appreciates their efforts to go the extra mile. Next week (or realistically) next month is my turn to clean. We are not usually dirty people to begin with so the apartment stays looking fairly clean to a certain extent of time.

I've been studying all Saturday, but I did take a grocery break at Trader Joes. My friend Steve, (yes his name is also steve), asked me to come along and I did. Came back and studied some more. At the moment, I'm just burned out from reading. I just want to have some fun for the few hours i have left on Saturday. I also need to make sure that girlfriend get her needed little gift. I'm making her a bracelet and probably going to give it to her next friday when I go home :) So that's how it's been for me at the present time.

A little future news for those who care: Since I'm a junior, my school kicks me off campus, and now I have to try to room with some buddies in a house or apartment near downtown. The problem is that the guys I'm tring to room with next year have not given me the green light to join them. I've spoken to them about it, but they still havn't given me a final answer. Most likely, however, the answer will be yes. So pretty much, I'm trying to win them over with humor, some sass,  and good old fashioned loyalty.

I guess I've said enough for now, but tomorrow is a whole different day. Studying will occur, but something interesting always arises here on campus.

Note: Sean convinced me to create a twitter account. Name is "LemonPuddingPop" Look me up if you have one. I update that too.

'An another Note: The icon picture on my twitter acount is actually my friend Steve. I was on his laptop at the time when creating my twitter acount. The one on GB is me though.

I'll leave you with this song that I can't seem to stop listening too. Ever since Jeff and Ryan did there House of the Dead Quick Look, I couldn't stop thinking about the music in "Grindhouse" Particularly from my favorite of the two, "Death Proof." Here is my favorite song from Death Proof.

Sour Hour with Lemon

Alright so last blog gave you the rundown of my roommates. It's Saturday morning as I'm writing this, but let's just pretend it's for Friday shall we?
Anyways, I was supposed to go home for the weekend to see my mom for her birthday, and also spend time with my loving girlfriend, but yet again school got in the way.
I have two midterms coming up this Wednesday. Ethics, and Linear Algebra if you were wondering. I studied all Friday afternoon with a friend, then decided that I should
relax and have fun because duh, it's Friday. Turns out my main peeps that I like to hang out with home for the weekend, leaving my friend and I stranded with nothing to do. How sad :( We decided to kick some ass in Street Fighter 4 for a bit, then moved on to left 4 dead. Killed time but definitely was not what I wanted on my Friday night.
So I come home to my apartment and guess who is at the door? Teresa stares down at and says, "Don't use the bathroom!" and storms out the door. I guess she left for a party of some sorts. So, bland day, but overall quite interesting. Made some fried rice and found a really bad chef online. take a look. Until tomorrow

Note: Teresa cleaned the bathroom I guess

Sour Hour with Lemon

Starting a new and improved blog that ties in with what's happening to me in my dailiy life. If you enjoy pure unadultarated situations and stories about college life as game design major etc...then this is the blog for you. Mostly, however, that will just be the "wrapper" for my social commentary that lay beneath. Alright so enough small talk, let's get to business.

I go to UCSC, game design major, (only UC with this type of BS degree). I live in the apartments on campus with five other roomates. Three guys, (including me) and three other girls. This first blog is just a tease. And for a tease to function properly I'd have to leave you with something somewhat interesting to tune in tomorrow for the next blog. Here's the rundown,

1.Sean is the typical 4Chan user and never goes outside. Ever!
2. Sam is pussy whipped by his overly controlling, (and some may say) bitchy girlfriend
3. Then there is Me, Steve. (You'll get to know if you so choose to keep up with my blogs)

Now the girls

4. Breah is the slut. Kinda dumb, doesn't care if she's too loud when having sex. (note: likes to throw up on our toilet every weekend when she gets drunk)
5. Kim is the one that pretends to have friends and never has an indoor voice (Hard to study with this one)
6. Teresa is always complaining and crying. Always PMSing (if that's how you spell it) about how she can't maintain a boyfriend. She and Kim are the crazies of the house.

There you go, check in tomorrow for more

-Steve
