I don't think it'll go up too much in price. Not only that, but I have a pretty strong feeling that we're going to see a lot of Wii U games ported to the Switch.
It's too early to say, but it's certainly off to a good start. Hopefully it's not just the first third of the year that's good and the rest of the year is great too. :)
Lately, my least favorite thing has been people that treat unranked/non-competitive play like it's ranked/competitive play and get really toxic at you for not playing like they think you should be playing. When I play Dota 2 it's gotten so common that I just expect it and preemptively mute my entire team; I just communicate with them via chatwheel, alt-click chat shortcuts, and pings. Now, however, it's starting to leak a little bit into Overwatch and I even see it on FFXIV in PVE stuff. What the hell, guys?
I think Secret of Mana for the SNES did early co-op really well. It solves one of the biggest frustrations with the game: The awful ally AI. You each control one character (there are up to 3 at once) and can use all of their abilities instead of having to assign weird shit to an AI programming grid that only sometimes works.
I would argue DQ8 is the best in the series, but I'm not sure how it translates to 3DS. I haven't seen it in action myself. Given the technology that exists, you can take a PS2 copy of DQ8 and put it in your PC's disc drive and boot it with an emulator, though. :)
Quake has always been the series that had me coming back. I'm simultaneously excited and anxious about the new one they're doing. Quake 1 had what I thought was the most satisfying rocket launcher, but the real most satisfying thing about Quake 1 was getting maxed out on lightning gun ammo and having someone chase you into a pool of water where you then discharge the lightning gun and both kill yourself and him. :)
Let's not forget the mods. I adored playing the original Quake Team Fortress and Headhunters mods.
Best of luck, @drewbert! I hope to hear and see you make guest appearances in the future!
I'm not sure how likely this is to be seen but here goes: I still remember us chatting video production after a PAX East panel. It was for fifteen minutes or so. I was awkward as hell because I was still learning the process as a college sophomore, not fully knowing my terms and kit, but you were extremely helpful and it helped to motivate me. I have a job in the production field now. :)
