Hey everyone!

I just bought a PS4 that came with a code for The Last of Us Remastered. As I have already played this game I don't want the code and am looking to trade it for a game on Steam that is of lesser or equal value (MSRP $54.99).

Here's a list of games I will consider trading for:

- Sniper Elite III (sale for 33.50 until Monday)

- Dark Souls II

- Wasteland 2

- Shadows Over Mordor

Can provide pics of card to prove legitimacy. Best way to contact me is here or on Steam; name: StimpakNeeded.

Thanks!

@StimpakNeeded: Ha ha. Don't get me wrong. I've played about 60 hours of Saints Row 2 on PC but I needed that kind of game at the moment. So I guess you could enjoy it. The problem lies mostly in framerate, witch drops severly whenever you travel in a fast vehicle, and controlls since they didn't bother to adapt to PC gamers at all (and the graphics... god all mighty)

I used a PS3 controller and I would recomend you do the same (any kind of controller, that is. Not mouse+keyboard)

See and I feel framerate for a game like Saints Row really needs to be there in order to get the most from it. When I get my computer done, I'll boot it up and give it a chance though. How do you use a PS3 controller on PC? I would much rather use that than the 360 controller :P

You just plug it in and install some drivers. I use a program called MotioninJoy but there might be other ways. Not as simple as a 360 controller but I prefer the PS3 one, and I just happened to have one laying around.

Also get the Gentlemen Of The Row mod which fixes some bugs and add some cool features (such as a handheld version of the septic truck poop launcher).

It also comes in two flavours Xbox 360 and PS3, which just changes the on-screen button prompts from keyboard to your controller of choice.

Awesome! Thanks Vextroid. I'll keep that in mind.

Alright, just bought Alpha Protocol for $2 bucks (a little more because I'm in Canada :P). Hopefully it can transport matter haha.

Oh bless his heart, he can't communicate with people so he lashes out. This is the only way he can get attention, hijack peaceful threads and drag his little vendettas into them.

So if we could return to earth for a moment, I would highly disreccomend playing Bastion with PC controls. It looks great, but any control scheme without the gamepad is a nightmare. In general, if you're playing PC versions of multiconsole games you should hook your xbox controller up to the PC.

Yeah, I plan to use a PS3 (or if I have to 360) pad for most of my PC gaming.....at least for multi-console games.

@StimpakNeeded: Take my AC info with a grain of salt, I enjoyed my time with Assassins Creed, I ended up buying all of the AC games, but it is far from a PC game, at least use a controller if you get it, and make sure your internet is solid. In AC2, all the tutorial key commands were displayed as xbox buttons, despite the fact that I was using a keyboard, I had to hit random keys until I got them to do what I wanted.

Yeah I love AC too. I even bought all the books! hahaha. That's pretty ridiculous regarding the button displays though; pretty damn lazy on their part. Do you know how it was graphically when comparing to console? I'm sure it would be somewhat better but I'm still pretty green to PC everything, so most of my knowledge is elementary.

@StimpakNeeded: Dirt 3 should, in my opinion, be played on console. The PC version is fine but... it's just way to console adapted for my taste. And don't try to catch up with Saints Row 2 on PC when The Third comes out, it's downright horrible.

Crap! I already bought Saints Row 2 a while ago hoping that with my new PC I'll be able to play it.

And as for Dirt 3, I agree with you. Racing just doesn't have the same feeling on the PC for some reason even though it is (in essence) the same.

Whaaat! Dirt 3 with a 360 controller is absolutely fantastic. It looks gorgeous maxed out too. But yeah, Saint's Row 2 was not a great experience for me, that is until I played it on console and it ran just as shitty. Awesome game nonetheless.

Well I'll give Dirt 3 a try and see how I like it on PC :)

Alpha Protocol will make your blood boil for all the wrong reasons. I appreciate being gifted this $2 game but my god..

Which Bombcast is it that they talk about it in? I really need to listen to that one again.

What's a good reason for having blood boil? I'm still kind of wanting to buy that just out of sheer curiosity hahaha.

Call of Cthulhu ;__; I just could not do anything about the reef glitch...I just had to download someone else's save file instead :(

I'm sure there are many, if not all, that had to do that. I played it on Xbox hahaha. Still go back to it though here and there.

The PC version of GTA4 is by far the best if you have the PC for it. Much higher res textures and view distances and you can adjust the traffic density. You can even have anti aliasing now with Nvidia FXAA or AMD MLAA.

Give credit where its due. Rockstar didn't do shit to optimize this game and didn't make any patches to fix what you purchased day 1. Modders made it work, presumably. I've only seen the youtube videos of the texture pack you're talking about, I can only speak of the buggy POS I played that was never officially patched, not any recent mods. That was my experience and its still the first thing I think of when I think "shitty port" because it was. It was a shitty port with devoted fans that presumably fixed it.

Meanwhile I played Fallout 3 PC after fans fixed it which colored my experience. As always, one's own mileage may vary and this is especially true on PC.

You are mistaken. The game did receive a number of patches. I wasn't referring to a modded texture pack, the texture detail in the regular version is still capable of being much higher than the console version. Yes it did have problems on launch, but the patched version of the game its basically issue free if you have the hardware for it.

Yeah, there was one really big patch that vastly improved the shadows and a lot of stuttering issues, but it was probably a year after it was released on PC.

Fallout 3 and New Vegas are both amazing games with incredible mod communities on the PC. And at this point, most of the bugs have been ironed out, so you don't really have to worry about that.

Spectacular to hear about Fallout! Thanks Scrawnto. I'm going to have to re-buy those now. Do they allow the player to continue on after they beat the story in New Vegas now?

Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon HD 6850 Windforce

Case: Coolmaster HAF 912

PSU: OCZ ModXstream PRO 500W

HDD: WD Caviar Blue 1TB

RAM: G.Skill Ripjaw 2X4GB

And then a keyboard and mouse I have no idea about.

The Assassins Creed series has never treated me well, the keyboard controls are cumbersome and the menus are always clunky,

The Call of Duty games have been surprisingly decent ports. I've never had a major problem with any of them, COD4 always forces me to manually update PB, but so does every other Punkbuster game.

Fallout 3 holyshit never had so many problems with a game ever so many crashes and framerate drops just horrible.

Fallout 3 inherently has problems anywhere though :P Even though its one of my favorite franchises (see name and picture) I can admit it has HUGE problems. Being me though I might still pick it and New Vegas up because of the mods and add-ons.

Never had any problems with any of the new Fallouts, I must be doing it wrong.

Thanks for the AC info. I guess that's another Ubisoft PC game to put on the "Do Not Buy" list :P

You are definitely a lucky one in regards to Fallout. I still haven't gotten through all of New Vegas because how many times it has frozen on me, plus (as far as I know) you can't continue after you beat the game.

I remember a critism of Borderlands, but may have been rectified. I'm not just talking about the menu(UI) or controls but just plain optimization of appearance and such.

The whole UI thing if playing with keyboard and mouse is pretty bad i would say. But plugging in a controller and those issues kind of go away. The rest of the game i would say is a good port. They maybe could have put some higher resolution textures in there, but that's about it.

Good to hear because that's one I'm definitely looking at re-buying!
