i fucking loved G-Police and Colony Wars back in the day, and Destruction Derby too. good on sony for holding onto them all these years because from what i gather the company would have gone under without them, but its just a pity they couldn't continue to leverage them the same way that they did in the early days of the Playstation

quite embarrassed to say iv actually played that Spice World game, my sister owned it (honestly, it was my sister!)

now its been mentioned i don't remember the specific first time i played a game like that. i have a feeling that when it was first used, the implementation was so poor that its importance didn't really resonate properly, and by the time it was truly refined gamers were just used to the idea. I definitely remember playing console FPS games that were controlled using a double sided control scheme for the first time, i wonder if developers just started designing third person games when they noticed it worked well

iv not read the comments because there are too many, but it sort of disgusted me how Valve referred to itself as a subscription service in the end user agreement, i nearly clicked decline, but then i realised i probably wouldn't have access to Civ 5 and DoW 2 which are really the only games i give most of a shit about on steam. i really should have read through that thing better but to be quite frank, im drunk right now...

i miss Patrick too, was really looking forward to him talking about more Eternal Darkness on the Bombcast, wish him all the best with his wedding and stuff though, and everyone worrying his feelings being hurt, i wouldn't worry too much, i imagine you need pretty tough skin to do what it is these guys do, and its probably just a case of vocal minority anyways

i was all ready to hate on this within the first 10 seconds, generic shit pop music i hear on the radio all day at work, but then.... buuuuut theeeeeen...... the video is just too good, and the music actually ended up digging its claws in too, like someone else pointed out, he's like a Korean LMFAO, but i dont find him the most annoying thing in the world, unlike LMFAO, ill put it down to cultural differences.

I'm neck deep into the Horus Heresy books, currently just finished Tales of Heresy- Wolf at the Front Door, this series is fucking brilliant, i haven't read any other WH40K books, but this series is so gripping, i used to collect the miniatures when i was 11 or 12 and stopped at around 14 or 15, but this universe has always stuck with me, especially with help from the Dawn of War games, but i'm definitely going to stick with the literature for quite some time.

when you break down what this game is, it's actually kind of insane, a shooter that has been marketed to appeal the average FPS audience, that pretty much subverts the very reasons they go to these kind of games in the first place. I'm glad someone made it, and after hearing about it for so long i am tempted to play it, but i just don't like shooters any more (especially military based shooters) I really hope this game sold well to the more blood thirsty, military fetishising gamers of the world, and that they take something away from it, but some how i doubt that is the case.

pretty much everything Rockstar has ever done, i literally hit a point around 8-10 hours in where i glaze over and never want to touch those games again, and unfortunately for me that tends to be a long way before seeing the story to its end, its almost become a running joke with myself, i bought GTA4 and RDR and borrowed LA Noir, and i had exactly the same reaction with every one, what kind of annoys me about it most is that i really enjoy the first 5 or 6 hours of them, but that feeling just completely dies on its ass a few hours later

assassins creed got really repetitive really quickly for me, which is kind of a pity because i hear nothing but good things from the sequels, but i have absolutely no desire to try those games, Ubisoft games in general have never really done it for me,

this one is a little unfair because iv only ever played the demo of the first, but fuck me if the Metal Gear Solid series and everything i hear about it is pretty much every single gaming trope i hate wrapped into one boring awful package

Nothing so far, I was eyeing up The Walking Dead, but ill probably just buy it at full price a week or 2 before the final episode is out.
