On this, the eve of the End of Giant Bomb as we know it, I wanted to scream my thanks into the ether to Brad, Vinny, and Alex. I've been listening to the Bombcast since its beginning (Giant Bombcast was the first "favorite" I saved on my iPhone 3g back in the day), and it's hard to imagine the site without them. It's evident how much sacrifice you all have made for what's ostensibly an entertaining video game web site, but what is evidently so much more to me and the Giant Bomb community. I want to thank Vinny for his frank and hilarious assessment of parenthood. My daughter was born around the same time as Vinny's son, and the podcast where he described the misery of early parenthood brought a sorely needed laugh to my wife and me--not to mention an understanding that not everyone felt the Joy and Wonder of the first few months of parenthood. To Alex, I am grateful for his forthright discussions of mental health, a deeply personal topic and a necessary one that you're helping to normalize. To Brad, a big thanks for the many, many hours of Bombcast that you were a part of; you helped ease the pain of a monotonous commute and steeled me for a stressful day on the job. Giant Bomb should retire your microphones or whatever gesture would sufficiently communicate your irreplaceability. Best of luck in your next ventures--though you won't need it--and thanks again.

After weeks of checking, I finally found an elite controller available to order. I placed the order, but almost immediately got pangs of remorse. Thing is, I'm hardly a Pro player (kind of a spaz really), but I likes me a nice controller. I play almost every night, so I'm sure I'll get use out of it. Anyone out there have one of these? Is it worth the price tag?

I got it on release and don't regret it, but truly I haven't played much since completing the game (I dabbled in multiplayer and had a swell enough time with it). But, like seemingly everyone else, I got other games quickly thereafter that distracted me from H5. So that may be saying something too.

Unlike some posters, I thought it looked pretty great and the core of the game (the shooty-shooty bang bang) was really good. The campaign, tho, left a lot to be desired.

I had the same question, too. Glad to hear the good reviews. I may pick it up if the price drops closer to the holidays.

I'm ambivalent here. I don't think RS could exist in the old format since there are just too many other military shooters out there. So, I think they had to take a risk and be different. Big risks are often scary, so I doubt they could go all in with a campaign mode as well. That said, the ideal scenario playing this game is two coordinated and communicative groups battling each other, and really, that won't really often happen beyond the marketing. I think it will still be better than Evolve which, though it was unique, was hurt by the lop-sided nature of game play. I suspected the game might be a little thin when they threw in previous versions of Rainbow. Will I get this game? Unlikely.

@ripelivejamYes. Yes you should. Don't buy it, though. Spotify or Apple Music first. It's different....

My wife says that the land-speeder the girl is riding looks like a pudding pop. Can't unsee!

I had given the Call of Duty franchise a pass since MW 3's joyless slog of a campaign left me feeling angry at the entire genre. But positive reviews of the latest somehow got me back in for more. On the other hand, I finished Assassin's Creed brotherhood awhile ago with a smile on my face, yet couldn't bring myself to finish revelations or even give a single care about Ass Creed 4. Is there a genre or franchise that you abandoned years ago only to be lured back recently? Or perhaps one that you loved before but have completely burned out on? Just curious!

Another vote for sunset. This is getting easier. Also saw that target has 2x game trade-ins this week only (with buy 2 get 3 next week). Advantage: Milhouse!

Hearing a lot of Sunset Overdrive, which is kinda confirming my thoughts. I would say that halo and forza will probably happen eventually. I'm surprised that COD even made it onto my list since I was actually angry at the end of MW3 and all but swore off the series. It would take something special to get me back into Ass Creed. They're not bad games, I just hit a profound wall with that kind of game after Brotherhood.
