So i opened up my case checked wiring and used a can of air to really get behind the cpu fan which looked pretty caked with dust. I ran Sleeping Dogs again and got past the part where it always crashed! I have MSI Afterburner and was watching the cpu temp the whole time and saw it reached about 60c during that whole time, that's probably pretty high for it, right? Since all that dust was there i'm sure it was hotter before, so is there a way to kick my fans up more or something when the cpu starts getting hotter like that?
Also, my cpu is an AMD FX 8150 Eight Core
You can use SpeedFan to control fan speeds. I assume that your fans are functioning since you mentioned this. I just know that when I was getting random BSoDs it was a combination of a CPU fan that stopped spinning which I used some machine oil to lubricate and get working again, and I had some dying RAM. Once I rectified those two problems everything started functioning just fine once again. So, if your pc shuts down on you again and you get a BSoD make sure you record the error code/message it gives you. That will help narrow down the problem.
