Placing your first baby in daycare so you can go drinking while pregnant with your second baby in order to pick up the father of your future third baby is a serious pro move.

Worms tunneling angered the gods four games in a row which made me want to put the game down but recent patches have improved the behavior and I’m really glad I did not. There’s a ton of content for an early access release and the early patching has brought in a bunch more, easy recommendation on this one.
Some light hints -
Dousing yourself in water (or other liquids) will remove burning/toxic buildup, just spray the starting flask straight up. You can refill the flask by equipping it and standing in water (or anything you want to)
You can pick up the gold inside the level geometry if you dig for it, some spells are made for tunneling around to make you filthy rich.
Buying or picking up a wand lets you mouse over each spell to see what it does before you commit by selecting which slot to put it in.
Putting one of the beginner spark spells in your second wand in place of the bomb after the first level makes for a fairly quick firing damage dealer if you didn’t find anything good in the level.
Getting hit while hovering in the air makes you drop like a rock, same applies to enemies if you do enough damage. Absolutely will get you killed.
Creating a perfect machine gun that fires bouncy balls that home into enemies and drop firey exploding poison trails everywhere and then blowing yourself up with it is the name of the game.
I spent dozens of hours playing this way back and everything they've added since I stopped playing looks great. This and Kerbal Space Program are definitely the best early access games that predate early access.
So there's a bug that corrupts your in mission saves if the game is saved while Chryssalids are burrowed/a hive is present. I misclicked and tried to reload that turn's autosave but it just gave me a black screen and crashed the game, as did all of the autosaves for that mission. Last hard save was the entire mission plus almost an hour of metagame/customization ago. If I had ironman on that would have made the campaign unplayable.
I would really recommend not using ironman and saving before every mission, especially mid game retaliation missions where this bug is likely to crop up. I put over 100 hours into XCOM:EU and XCOM 2 is an incredible game with a lot of smart additions but I hope they can patch some of the more glaring issues quickly.
