TC, I agree 100%. I have felt this way about video games for a long time.
I agree that swearing adds a lot of realism and it is authentic and in some games, good for the story and the atmosphere and whatnot.
However, when I lived with my parents, the TV with the Playstation was in the living room. If I wanted to play GTA, I had to turn the sound down because I never knew who was around, including younger siblings. Also, I think it gives parents ammunition for ignorance when all they hear from the other room is gunfire, cursing and screams of dying people. Then they go to the PTA meeting or whatever and say, "I took little Johnny's video games away, I heard 5 curse words in 5 minutes!"
Now that I have my own place, I don't mind so much, but I understand where you are coming from.
Ok, so the general consensus seems to be that this is a concept, but I still think it might be more appropriate under some other heading. Is tea-bagging large and important enough for its own section?
