Unbalanced, but fun Party game. 0

This game has it's problems, which can ruin it for some people, but it does offer a great challenge and fun multiplayer. There are many courses to race on, new and old, with many different ways to control. The steering wheel is the most fun.You will also find several modes, such as Grand Prix, Vs, Battle & Online. There are also many characters to unlock by getting good ranks on Courses, completing Time Trials and more. The graphics are good for a Mario game, no need for them to be any better....

Possibly the best no monthly fee MMO there is. 0

Guild Wars 2 is on its way, so this game will be pretty dead soon. The game costs a single fee, but there are no reoccurring monthly fees, so you won't feel like you've wasted a lot of money if you decide you don't like it.If you are going to get this game, I would suggest also getting an expansion, like Factions or Nightfall (Eye of the North is different), because hardly anybody plays the original anymore. It will be hard to find players to do missions with and you will end up playing by yourse...

Graphics aren't the best, but this game was fun back in the day! 0

I remember the first time I played DoD. I had only ever played single player WWII shooters before, never multiplayer. This game was, back in the day, like what Call of Duty is today. It had lots of weapons, maps, and people playing. My favorite was storming the beach just like in Saving Private Ryan, or being a Nazi and gunning down all the American troops from a bunker. The graphics didn't look that bad, considering I had a PC that only had a 128mb graphics card. I didn't even know what good grap...

Don't get it unless you meet the requirements 0

I got this game for $15 on Steam. It is sort of like Counter Strike/Halo in space. You can turn and fly around in all directions, which means you have to look out for enemies above and below you. This is the coolest aspect of the game. I've never seen it before in an online shooter. The graphics are amazing, but require Windows Vista or 7, because it uses DirectX10 only. Even then, you must have a powerful system to play the game. I'm using an 8800gtx (768mb) and an E6600 Duo Core (2.4ghz) proces...

If you like TF2 or CS, you might like this game. 0

I got this on Steam for only $15. It's like Team Fortress 2 meets Gears of War. There are only 4 classes to choose from and not very many players online. I only saw 3 servers with about 3-12 people in them, and several times I was disconnected. As of now, the official Steam LaG (lol, lag) club has about 1,000 members, but I never see many of them playing. The graphics are really good, as good as Team Fortress 2, even a little more realistic. It's fun, but not as involved as Team Fortress 2 or Cou...

Limited amount of weapons, but you get to drive tanks and fly. 0

The graphics aren't bad for a $15 game, they aren't CoD quality, but they are a little better than DoD: Source I suppose. There are a few glitches, and every once in a while polygons will go crazy all over the screen. This very rarely ruins the gameplay. The controls are a little stiff, but after a while of playing they don't seem so bad. It doesn't feel like a normal FPS.The maps are very big islands that you will be fighting your way across, trying to capture flag points. The team whose point m...

It's also one of the main reasons I got a GameCube. 0

Pikmin is one of the most unique games I've played. It's also one of the main reasons I got a GameCube. You are a tiny astronaut, about half an inch tall, named Captain Olimar, who has crash landed on the planet of the Pikmin, similar looking to Earth. Your ship has broken apart and you must find the pieces scattered about somebodies backyard, or wherever you are. You meet these little Pikmin creatures that you command, using a whistle on the C-pad, to pick up parts, attack enemies, or plant toke...

This expansion is better than the original game it is for. 0

In my previous review of Oblivion, I mentioned that graphics were the some of the best I had ever seen on a PC, back in 2007, and the physics were realistic but at times didn't perform very well. It was not the same experience as Morrowind, but was a good game in and of itself. The story was quick to beat, but there was much content to be explored, this game wasn't a waste of time. The Shivering Isles, however, adds a more unique experience to Oblivion. It adds more of an Interactive story and pu...

A continuation to one of the greatest games ever made. 0

I can't forget the day I bought this game. It was before I had access to Internet and my only source of information was magazines. I had heard very little of the game, mostly speculations from friends, but I knew it was on its way.MGS 2 was probably the most exciting game purchase I have ever made. This was the sequel to a game that had affected me like no game before. Not only that, but it was for the all new next-gen console, PlayStation 2.The first thing I noticed was the dramatic, well anima...

Its realistic and emotional story was unheard of in the PS1 days. 0

Metal Gear Solid was a game unlike any other. Its realistic and emotional story was unheard of in the PlayStation 1 days. You really felt that Solid Snake was an actual person, not just lifeless pixels on a screen. The game is somewhat mature, with dialog and jokes for older audiences. The story and voice overs truly are movie quality. It is equally balanced with dialog and action. Someone who does not like video games may be interested in this game for its story. Even with much of this dialog, t...

The first next gen GTA, nothing could be more excitiing 0

I had been playing GTA since the PS1 days, diving around in bird's eye view, burping and farting in people's faces (if you haven't played, you might not understand), always watching out for the guys in the red shirts, and never imagined it would turn into something like this. You could see the progression in graphics of the GTA series for PS2. Each game, GTA 3, Vice City, San Andreas, looked a little better each time. This one, however, made a huge leap in realism. The gameplay was practically the...

First video game I ever played. It still lives on with me 20 year 0

Super Mario Bros. was the first video game I ever played. It was back in 1989, I was 2 years old, it was my 11 year old sister's Nintendo and game. We were sitting on the couch together, I was watching her play, and she gave me a turn.I figured out how to run, stop, and jump on enemies, but I never quite could figure out how to simultaneously run and jump over a gap in the ground. I only played another 2 turns, doing the same thing, not getting passed the same gap, and I really didn't really pla...

Fallout 3 with Swords 0

I got this game back in 2007, along with my new gaming computer, with 8800GTX card, and the graphics blew my mind. This was before PS3 came out, I was still used to PS2 games. I had never had a computer or played a game that looked like this. Now computer graphics have advanced and look more realistic, but this game still holds up.I liked the realistic physics, though sometimes things looked a little cheesy, like when you kill somebody and they fall off a ledge and seem to float like a feather t...

Exciting the whole way through. 0

RE5 is similar to the old Resident Evil games, except this time you're in Soviet Russia and Zombies shoot YOU! Nah, actually you're some place in Africa.Similar, being it contains zombies and some of the characters from the previous games, but it is totally different gameplay. No more camera angles and creepy settings with zombies that pop out of nowhere and scare you. In this game you see it coming at you, you know what to expect around the corner, and you're just trying to survive. The graphics...

One of the most unique games I've played. 0

It's a puzzle game with a funny storyline. It may look really hard at first, but they start you off easy and you work your way through harder levels and beyond. And maybe a little beyond that. When you complete a really hard level, you will think you are so smart, you will feel like a genius. It will make you feel like you actually have a chance with the Companion Cube. But don't lie to yourself just yet, there are more lies to be had.The graphics are the same as Half Life 2, I don't really see a...

Not quite Oblivion with guns. Action packed, but too short. 0

I was so excited to play this game, and when I get excited about a game, I play it for hours on end. I know its time to take a break when I start shaking and feel like I need to throw up, usually after 14 hours. It's got a cool story bro and lots of side-quests. I can't remember fighting very many bosses, but the diversity in the quests makes up for that. I'd say its way more involved than Oblivion, the people seem more real. The karma thing is a neat feature, but its hard to resisting zapping th...

This will teach you to play the card game in no time. 0

I got this game back in the day when I used to collect the cards, around 1999-2000. I collected the cards, but I never knew how to play until I got this game. The advantage you get with this game over cards is that you get to play against the npc's decks. You might think this is easy, but the computer isn't stupid, it knows how to play. It may not be as fun as playing real people, but chances are the only real people you are going to play is your mom.Work your way through the game, defeat many np...

Welcome to the Jungle is still playing in my head. 0

When GTA: Vice City was announced, I couldn't wait. I still have a game magazine featuring it on the cover stored away in mint condition.Out of all the GTA's, this one remains my favorite. It's got style. This is the first game in the series to feature helicopters! As soon as I popped in the disc, it was my mission to fly one. The first one I found was a police copter on top of a building on the second island. What a blast, I had never experience a GTA game like this. While you're up there hoverin...

Hell's Highway is Shooter Heaven 0

This game started out kind of odd, with controls that were hard to get used to. After a while you won't notice, but you'll get all mixed up when playing one of your other shooters.I watched some gameplay videos and didn't know what to think of this game. I thought it was most likely going to suck, but I was wrong. The game was just so interesting the whole way through. It was like watching Band of Brothers. The combat each level lasted a long time, and it was very challenging to get across the ma...

Best in Genre for 360 0

I've tried many airplane games, and I still think this one is the best.I beat it about 3 times, unlocking new planes and weapons each time.It has realistic looking graphics, great controls and AI, and tough challenges. I must have played one level about 20 times trying to fly my plane through a tunnel in the side of a mountain, crashing every time. I thought it was impossible, but after a while i was able to do it. After that, I could do it every time. You must practice at becoming a better pilo...

An Experience to Remember 0

I played Metal Gear Solid (PS1) back in 1999. It was the greatest gaming experience I ever had. I remember calling my friend on the phone in panic after Meryl had been shot by Sniper Wolf. That's how emotionally deep I was into the game. The Otocon-Sniper Wolf scene in the snow almost made me cry. Ok maybe it did.I now see Snake aging, dying, and I feel like this is a real person I used to know 10 years ago. I feel like I was really there with him saving the world from nuclear disaster. Maybe it...
