Good to hear, having played both the demos I think i'm gonna go with Pro Evo this year- the single player modes always offer a better experience and it feels as though the gameplay has caught up.

Online still buggy as shit though?

Honestly, how good is this game? It looks great but i'm really worried it will turn into every JRPG from the last 10 years- total nonsensical rubbish, with annoying cutesy-ness and a retarded plot.

How much of the game have you played?

@RandomHero666:

To be fair, I've never seen the media sexualize men in any way shape or form.

Not really. It's more like I was just jumping into the debate and then realized "OK, I need to see the actual joke at this point". Arguing in the abstract and all that.

Okay, fair enough then. Even so joke in bad taste is still a joke.

Where I'm from insulting terms like fenian and hun are thrown around; making light of differences is a good way of getting over them.

Man the fuck up OP. If you think jokes are real discrimination you're basically shitting on the kind of genuine discrimination people have suffered, and continue to suffer.

You do realize that jokes can be used for actual social commentary, right? And that they are often reflective of a community's beliefs and values, right?

So this joke in Hitman was a deep social commentary on transgendered people and how society doesn't value them?

I'm saying it could be reflective of this. That the developers could be saying "transexual people suck" and you'd only really find it funny if you agreed with it. Then again, I should probably see the joke in question (WITH AS FEW SPOILERS AS POSSIBLE) before I say much about it.

And the first part was me saying "jokes can be serious, you guys".

Let me get this straight;

You think this 'joke' that you haven't seen/heard MAY be offensive, so you're being pre-offended. Just to play it safe.

Come on, what the actual fuck.

So am i allowed to be offended by Jeff's 'Irish' accent now? Which was clearly an awful Scottish accent.

I mean seriously, are we going down this fucking retarded road?

There are jokes. And then there are jokes in bad taste. I never played Hitman but from the sounds of things it falls in the latter. You can joke about anything, if you are skillful about it. Often times however that is not the case. The differance between Louis CK and Family Guy.

...But it was a totally incidental joke. Again, should i now be offended by all the little jokes about the Irish in various media?

Orwell once said 'Every joke is a tiny revolution', comedy usually falls into satire; a challenge to conventional beliefs and values. Ever heard a comedian talking about how great it is to be white, straight and middle-class? I've heard plenty make jokes about paedophilia, incest, murder and just about everything society finds abhorrent.
