If GoW3 is the last GoW (which seems plausible) then I think he should live and avenge his brothers. I'd buy the shirt but I'm out of cash.

I've done my part. Bought the Shirt that says Save Carmine. 

Carmine should live based solely on the fact that he wants to avenge his brothers. The fact that he has the tattoo on his arm shows that he will never forget that the Locust took his two younger brothers from him.  In addition to "Grub Killer" written on his armor it also says "practice reloading" and "keep head down."  This war has crushed Clayton and now he has a thriving blood lust for the Locust.  Letting him live will be a shining and dynamic point in the Gears of War trilogy. It would show exactly what a man's love for his brothers can do for him.  He would finally be at peace with himself and the COG.  When we look back on this game series, it would be better to have remember how in the final hour, the last of the Carmine brothers came through.  He finished what his brothers had started and helped Marcus Fenix stop the Locust invasion.  Now before you post back on how he should be brutally maimed  and such. Think of what Saving Pvt. Ryan would have been like if in the end Ryan ended up dying like the rest of his brothers.

Definetly when the first carmine died I thought it was funny, than when they killed the second one it turned into a stupid joke. I want the last one to survive, also he looks like badass. Hes carrying a machine gun.

Clayton should get captured to set up a Gears Of War themed Saving Private Ryan knock off campaign. Then get killed.

Thats not a true carmine, the Carmines are thin, fragile and have tendecy to die.

I'm doing my part for the save carmine fund, bought the T-shirt. C'mon Clayton! 
 
Also interestingly, if you look at the marketplace you'll notice that the "save Carmine" T-Shirts are higher in the bestsellers than "Carmine must die" T-shirts... awesome sauce.

I am totally with the OP. I have already bought my Save Carmine shirt for my avatar. He looks like a very, very cool character, and it always made me kind of sad whenever one of the Carmines died :(
 
P.S. I fucking love that they are still wearing their helmets on his tattoo, haha.

I say they should handle it like the bell hop from Hot Tub Time Machine. Make Carmine have crazy close calls with the dudes from Delta being like, "Oh yeah, it's gonna happen NOW! WT... F!!! How is he still alive!"  Finally, after the credits have a tombstone with his name engraved showing he died of old age at the rip old age of 103. Hey if they did this, more or less everybody would get what they want.

i wanna see him live, credits roll, happy ending then boom! Accidently shoots himself in the head while cleaning his lancer.

I can't decide if he should live or die. Kind of hard to make a decision without really knowing anything about the character. I guess I'd like to see him live.

He aint going to die cause hes fucking massive.

If he dies. At least have him die being a hero. Maybe blocking the path for the guys to escape. Or taking out some super foe.

That is an extraordinary tattoo. I just hope that EPIC doesn't reveal whether he lives or dies before release. I can totally see them going "Here are the results!" and spoiling it.

I've only played Gears 2 so didn't know anything about there being a tradition of Carmines dying, I'm ok with him dying though if he saves the world in doing so, that would be cool.

Wouldn't his tattoo actually show the faces of the brothers he loved so much, rather than just the helmets?

Anyway I'm a big fan of Epic's "we don't give a shit about this character so lets let the fans decide what happens to him" design for characters in games. Too bad I also don't care.

I still miss Lt. Kim, though.

Three brothers killed fighting in a war...that's just not right. Anyway the guy looks like an animal but if he has to go...at least have him flip the fuck out just once and not get shot in the back of the head

You know I was on the fence leaning towards him dying, but your right that is an awesome and pretty deep tattoo and he definitely looks bad ass so I think he should live.  But I don't think its going to happen, all the Carmines are going to die.  And if he does die then I hope it's an awesome heroic death, that would be cool.

Well, it doesn't really matter what you think. It is all up to the contest, which in my opinion, will probably have the "Carmine Must Die" being the winning vote. It seems alot of people want to keep the Carmines dying. For me, I am kinda tore on Clay, I mean I want a Carmine to live, but he is too badass to be a Carmine. I always enjoyed the weak, rookie Carmines better. 
 
Also, maybe if Clay dies, D. Carmine will be in the game as well and live.
