Well first we have to realise there is a division between opinion and things that are objective fact.

Some idiots will frame ignorance as " just my opinion, maaaan" such as the idea of the earth being flat.

This is not an opinion, it is a falsehood. We can prove it is incorrect.

But something along the lines of the blue tshirt is better than the red tshirt, is just an opinion. We cannot show any facts one way or the other, and all you have is the strength of your argumentation regarding your preference, rather than any hard truths to present.

Hope that makes sense. There is a difference between having an opinion, and just being plain wrong. It depends upon what you are talking about.

@cmblasko: I'm sure what they actually want is safety within their own country rather than have to run for their lives halfway across the world.

This is creating the beginnings for a long term sustainable solution to bring some kind of meaningful help to these people. It's bringing help to them rather than them having to seek it out on the other side of the planet.

I live in England, if all of a sudden England was a war torn hell hole, and Scotland set up a safe zone, that's preferential than having to migrate to the other side of the globe.

It's beyond me how people are attempting to argue this is not a good idea. Saudi Arabia could have already implemented this years ago when the problem began and help people from day 1, but they did not until Trump negotiated the solution.

Banning everyone is stupid, but these people need support and help in their own homelands. That's how you really help them, not by shipping them around the world to make yourself feel better. They are real people not pawns to be used in political games of who's the nicest.

If the west takes all the refugees all you are doing is promoting inaction by local governments as they can sit on their arse doing nothing, while we fruitlessly attempt to solve the ever increasing migrant problem.

Not to mention if all the refugees are moderates, all you accomplish is diminishing the number of rational, decent people in the Middle East who are necessary to solve the larger problem with violent radicals. Take all the decent people, and all that's left are the lunatics with bombs and no ideological opposition.

Saudi Arabia have recently agreed to support safe zones to help people suffering from the ongoing conflicts.

This help has been available for years, but has only been negotiated after Trump took the initiative.

Stopping them from travelling half way around the world encourages both local governments to do their job and provide safety for the people displaced, and also the refugees themselves to seek refuge in the safe zones that are now being implemented closer to where they already are, it's cheaper, quicker and safer for them!

ISIS have also openly admitted they plan to infiltrate the ranks of refugees to destabilise the West from the inside by exploiting our compassion and willingness to help people in crisis. Instituting safe zones in the local area of unrest also scuppers their plans.

TL;DR: Trump halts immigration, then starts negotiations with the Saudis to get off their arse and help the people in need by creating safe zones. He has taken real action and implemented a programme to help the refugees at the source, this is a major step forward.

Safe zones are beneficial to everyone and move towards actually solving the problem. For the cost it takes to relocate and integrate people into the west, you can settle countless more people in safe zones that actually help them in a real and meaningful way.

It's not about you. It's not about me. It's about them, the people in real danger, and they deserve safety in their homeland.

The year a game is released in is... well, the year of its release!

It doesn't matter if people play it in 1997 or 2097, the game is a game from 1996. A last minute release mind you, but a '96 release nonetheless.

Never thought that much about it tbh until now. Heres my explanation after thinking about what I do when I'm not thinking about doing it.

I grab the hanger with my right hand holding the right hand side of the hanger. Just feels natural. The hook faces left so I can place it on the rail in my wardrobe easily without faffing about. Thus the shirt naturally faces left. This process is for button up shirts, hoodies, coats.

The real question is who the hell hangs a tshirt up?!

I've still got my PS4 from the day 1 initial release. PS4 is where I play all my games. I do not own a 4K TV and likely won't for a good while yet. PS4"Pro" doesn't even do 1080x60 for all games. It is next to useless for me. If they could guarantee 1080x60 I would be more likely to consider it.

I hope XBox Scorpio actually offers a worthwhile upgrade or this whole idea of mid generation updates is just completely useless to me... Not that I'm going to buy a Scorpio, just nice to have competition. Rattle Sonys confidence a bit, it'll make everyone better.

After thinking about this further the problem isn't even Trump.

Trump is doing what he said he would do. Perhaps the real problem is the power the President holds that allowed this in the first place.

Dan Carlin, on his Common Sense podcast warned of things like this happening years ago. Its all well and good when a president like Obama that people generally agree with have higher and higher levels of power, but what happens when that power is in the hands of someone you disagree with?

As I said numerous times in this thread, this ban is silly. However if the power of the president was not at this level, it could not have become reality, or at least not as quickly and would allow some mediation on the matter.

But what do I know, I'm just some idiot on a video game website.

@wynnduffy: Duder, it's totally obvious from the wording of the article what side that publication leans lol.

Anyone claiming to be for women's rights (or LGBT rights for that matter) and also support Sharia are suffering some very serious cognitive dissonance.

@rethla: Thanks for your reply, to be honest I was unaware they were largely illegals.

As for your other comment, it seems more and more like people are either 100% for open borders or they are 100% for closed borders with no room for nuance, and both sides demonising anyone that doesn't hold their views. No wonder there's no compromise or understanding.

I personally think that a blanket ban on everyone is stupid, as there are decent people that need help, but you also need to screen everyone to make sure that no one is infiltrating the refugees that will end up bringing with them the very problem the decent people are trying to escape.
