I was thinking about trying it for the PC, when I pick up the one my uncle is handing me down. Since I don't like FPSs on two analog sticks, and I love the way PCs have always done matchmaking, AND all the modding you can do---and then go online and play that mod. So yeah. There's no way I'll get it like this. PCs deserve the freedom.
Are definently my two favorite from that list. I would try to get a balance of what rocked on the SNES. Platformers, Beat 'Em Ups, and Fighting Games (something else too?). The racing games, that I have, for example just don't 'work well.'
So I was totally not going to buy this game, then they put Daft Punk on it... But for 120, I can buy a real CDJ, and am 1/3 of the way into becoming a real DJ; so I'll probably still pass. Look forward to playing it somewhere though.
MK has an excellent story. Very lengthy, rarely boring, and completely abandonned with Armageddon.
Not to say it doesn't have it's sore points. The Movies, UMk3\Trilogy, Boon being clueless, it being trashed in MKA and MKvsDC for profit.
Tao Feng didn't sell very well... I can't think of any other fighters, released recently and developed in the West, that have a strong storyline besides Tao Feng and MK. Maybe with this little resurgence of Fighting Games we will see one or two with solid stories, but it will have to come from a smaller developer because the big publishers probably won't take that risk.
In that sense yes, I am from the Americas (North\South); but I voted no, I'm a Californian. (Lived in Arkansas for 4 years, and California is not the same nation)
I think the only thing that really draws me in is Nostalgia for my PSX and PS2. Especially the newly-filtered but retro "PlayStation" at the end. That and the PS logo in the bottom right makes me feel like I can have my old PlayStation back in full glory. Still: Their starting price is unforgivable, all the extra features that jack up the price don't interest me (ie Blu Ray), and it won't ever be my PSX or PS2.
I already have a Wii, and I already have a 360. On top of that I don't play games as much as I used to, when they give PS3s away I'll pick one up if backwards compatibility is solved, until then it's just a mini-fridge with a fake banana in it.

There are plenty of "ninja looking dudes," but: Which playable character is formally a Ninja? (Hint: Scorpion is the only one you can make a case for) Technical limitations forced palette swapping on the series, that is a different discussion than adding a "werewolf dude" to the MK Universe in 2009.
