I get the free pack and will use the Brawl to complete quests for classes that I don't play a lot of or don't feel like playing at the moment. The ones where they give you a specific deck - Rag vs. Nef and TGT Alleria vs. Medivh - were pretty good, since it was interesting to try to play with decks that were made with some amount of care, rather than just random piles of cards which aren't all that exciting besides being able to clear out Rogue quests. My collection is pretty good at this point, so I'm able to build a solid deck for the custom ones, but most of them besides the "cast a spell, summon a minion of the same cost" one aren't that much fun.

I bought the 50 packs with my fake digital Amazon money. Got two legendaries, Chillmaw and Bolf (the guy who tanks hero damage). I also got two Twilight Guardians, so it looks like I'm going to try to make Dragon Control Paladin work?

I had a good match against another Paladin who seemed to be trying out Murloc Kinght and the joust healing Tuskarr in a Midrange deck (I even got to hit Dr. Boom with Rend!), but it's the only game I've played so far with it. I would do the same for Warrior if only I had the requisite epics and some different dragons for that deck. I should probably test it more, but I'm feeling like I probably ought to craft Alexstrasza and put her in the deck over Chromaggus, perhaps cut Volcanic Drake for BGH and/or another Aldor Peacekeeper. My card draw right now is coming from Azure Drakes and Solemn Vigil until I get to drop Nefarian or Chromaggus, which could be shaky in Control matchups.

I've had a Nexus 9 for about a month now and I like it quite a bit, though it is my first tablet and I greatly prefer the Android OS to iOS. I've used my girlfriend's Nexus 7 previously and the Nexus 9 is a nice size upgrade and it certainly handles recent games better. From what I read and the benchmarks I looked at, it's very similar to the Nvidia Shield in every respect and benchmarked slightly higher in most if not all categories. The one thing to note about it is that it has a 4:3 aspect ratio screen, so when you're watching video, you will usually have black bars on the top and bottom of the screen. Games mostly seem to fit the whole screen though.

You could get a 16gb Wifi model for less than $350, my 32gb Wifi/4G was just about $400.

It sounds like it's not for you. If you don't have a place in your heart for a short, easy game with something to say beyond the gameplay once in a while, I can't imagine you'd get much out of Journey. I appreciated the sense of connection with the other player that the game managed, even given only the barest minimum of tools to communicate. I'm not religious either, but the shared sights and experiences along the (ahem) journey and the feeling of freedom and release at the end of the game were pretty great too. I've played it exactly once when it came out on the PS3, and I'm not sure I'll play it again, but it was probably my no. 3 game in 2012, following behind XCOM and Mark of the Ninja.

AES is so expensive and I have heard that the X emulation isn't very good in addition to the limits on the library, so MVS is definitely the way to go. Read up on the multicarts before you get one, a lot of them have some weird bugs. I know that at least one notably has a bug that resets the console when performing a certain move in Mark of the Wolves, which would be supremely disappointing if that was one of the games you're interested in.

@contradictionvg Would you consider porting the game to Android? I'd love to play this on my tablet, but it's not Apple.

I have a well paying job and very little debt and can afford to buy games when they come out if I want to play them while they are new. My free time vs. money balance has flipped from what it was when I was in high school, so I only really buy a handful of full priced games on release each year even though I can afford more. I don't really pay full price for games anymore except when I know that I am going to start playing them soon after I purchase them. I'll buy other games that I'm interested in and may or may not get around to later when they are cheap enough - Far Cry 4 will probably be available a price (~$20) where I'll buy it for this purpose sometime soon. The exceptions to the rule are Nintendo's games, which seem to retain their original price almost forever, so I will pick those up at full price or whatever the asking price is whenever I think I'm going to get around to playing them.

I think I've purchased 2 games at $60 this year, Bloodborne and Witcher 3, and have not felt at all shortchanged by either. I plan to get Splatoon too, but man is there a lot to do in the Witcher.

This seems like a silly thing to be worried about, I can't think of any single-player action game or shooter that doesn't at some point take control of the camera other than the Half-Life games and the first Portal. Is this a concern specifically about taking away control during combat?

I have these: http://www.amazon.com/Sony-MDR7506-Professional-Diaphragm-Headphone/dp/B000AJIF4E/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1433796107&sr=1-1&keywords=sony+over+ear+headphones

They're not audiophile quality, but they're pretty nice. I've owned them for a couple of years and have been pleased, bought them after reading a recommendation that they're good headphones for less than $150, even though I only paid about $75. I don't take them with me to the gym so I couldn't tell you how they hold up for sure, but the cord may be somewhat bulky for working out, think of something like an old phone handset cord but rounder. The earpieces fold into the head band nicely but they're still pretty bulky even folded up. On the flip side, the bulkiness of the cans, the big-ass audio jack, and the thick, coiled cord make them feel pretty well made. I've also found them to be pretty comfortable, I can wear them for hours at a time without much in the way of irritation. I guess I would say the vocal quality is good, I have recently been using them to play the Witcher since I have a hard time understanding Geralt's growl coming out of my TV speakers. They aren't biased towards bass like Beats and the various other rapper-affiliated headphones tend to be, much more of an all-around pair of cans.

I'll echo what some other people have said about this information elsewhere:

  • The game being set in Boston has been a very poorly kept secret, apparently that had been circulating as a semi-confirmed rumor for years.
  • E3 is always in June. A lot of big games are announced at E3, often only with trailers. Bethesda's developer arm hasn't put anything out in a few years. Guessing that a big video game company is going to reveal their next big video game with a trailer at E3 is a pretty low-risk guess.
  • A new engine is not exactly surprising, considering the studio has been more or less dormant since Skyrim.
  • A lot of the factions listed in the leak are referenced elsewhere in the Fallout canon, some specifically as having a presence in Boston.

I'm not saying that this person is lying or anything, just that confirmation of the first and most obvious item on her timeline and some small details about the setting are hardly a confirmation of everything that she said. If something crazy like a last-gen version of the game running in the old engine is actually confirmed, this will actually have a leg to stand on.
