You can actually place the ring on any of the desks, and you have to figure out which desk is the correct one. You can figure it out on your own based on clues within the game, but if you don't want to it's the room with the rugby ball on the bed. After that you have to finish the game again by opening the pod, and there will be an extra line of dialogue in the ending. After that the Alyssa story will be unlocked on the main menu.

The extra content is actually something that differs between the English and Japanese versions.

English version:

This tells a story about how the leeches got aboard Damrey. Large brought a fossil from the alien planet on-board the spaceship with the intent of selling it when he got home, but when he accidentally spills water on it it comes to life and attaches to his arm. He tries to get it off, but only manages to split it into more leeches. He eventually (accidentally) manages to re-fossilize them with a disinfectant, but later another crew member accidentally un-fossilizes them again. It's pretty inconsequential, but it offer more of a look into the personalities of most of the crew members.

Japanese version:

From what I've read this scenario is about Alex, the only crew member you don't ever encounter in the game. Told from her perspective while in Cold Sleep, Alex wakes up from a dream in which she gave birth to an alien. She then complains about stomach cramps, and then something appears to come out of her stomach.

I'm pretty upset about this difference because the Japanese story has huge ramifications on the game's plot, and without it we never find out what Alex's fate is. It was probably cut for rating reasons.

I thought Jetstream was fantastic but was pretty disappointed in Bladewolf. I've replayed it a couple times for S-Ranks and appreciate it more, but my first playthrough was extremely frustrating. I don't understand why Platinum decided the DLC for their action game needed to focus on bad stealth and even worse platforming.

Bladewolf barely has any moves and nothing in combat that makes him unique, unlike Sam who focused on charge combos and had the taunt mechanic. The new boss fight is pretty terrible too and wasted on Bladewolf.

Japan got an announcement of a Yakuza HD Collection port, but it isn't coming to America. Fuck this planet.

You have a better chance betting on a PS3 version for the west.

Nintendo announced a partnership with Sega, and they'd have a much easier time bankrolling that localization than "oops we're fucked and shutting down everything" Sega. If it were coming to PS3 it probably would have been announced months ago.

I think the release of Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy Versus XIII in 2027 will do big things for the PlayStation 4.

Is it just me or does Edgeworth look older?

The game takes place eight years after his last chronological appearance so that would make sense.

Everyone except Brad wanted York to win Best New Character for their Game of the Year 2010 deliberations, so I think most of them really enjoyed the story. Brad was still being pissy about the gameplay though because he's Brad at games, and argued against everything else having to do with the game as a result. So yeah, Jeff, Vinny and Ryan all enjoyed it, and since joining the site Patrick has said good things about Deadly Premonition as well.

Rename:

Ace Attorney Investigations 2 => Gyakuten Kenji 2

Ace Attorney Investigations 2 is likely what the game would be called if it had been released in English, but it wasn't. Ace Attorney Investigations 2 should be an alias rather than the actual name of the article.
