Metroid is a big enough franchise to deserve more than one character, and Ridley is both the most reoccurring character besides Samus, and fucking awesome at the same time. Also they can totally scale him down, just look at Melee's intro

Little Mac's Final Smash should incorporate Doc Louis and his useless tips somehow. Also the pink sweatsuit needs to be an alternate costume

Black Shadow is more of a compromise than a desired character. I want Ganondorf to have a unique moveset, but I also don't want to lose the heavy Captain Falcon clone, so throw in Black Shadow with Ganondorf's old moveset and you get the best of both worlds

Classic Mega Man, because come on. X is cool and all, but you have to go with the original, because it's the original

Ryu from Street Fighter would also be a cool character, but given the choice between Ryu and Mega Man, I'd pick the latter

I have fond memories of the N64 Bomberman games, and he'd fit in great with the Nintendo roster. Plus he's got experience crossing over with both Wario and Solid Snake (Though not at the same time)

A Konami character people associate with Nintendo much more than they do Solid Snake. (Seriously, as awesome as that was it made no sense)

Another fuckin' badass ninja from another fuckin' badass series. This one is much less likely though, even if he doesn't bring his M rating with him, but most iterations of the series HAVE appeared on Nintendo consoles in one way or another

The No More Heroes games were two of the very few third party Wii exclusives worth a shit (okay, the first got ported to the PS3, but still). I would love to see Travis in the next Smash Bros, even if he has to ax all the cursing and "Moe~"
