sorry, but if you think it's bad taste then you're wrong. it's should be a fun occasion, the girls presumably gain satisfaction through providing light hearted cheerful amusement to the E3 goers, they don't need to be demeaned by being told "blah blah oh im disappointed in you" like a stripper's mother says to her daughter.

this could have been averted if nintendo had designed a safe version of the controller, with a nub at either end to prevent people from ramming them into other peoples' orifices..

oh, and the mother clearly forgot the number one rule of sleep overs; get rid of the paedophile.

No, I enjoyed it.  It's also way better than AC 2 and Bioshock. Can't say anything about Arkham Asylum though, as I haven't played it.

DEHR plays like a tired and outdated re-run compared to that game.  they are similar in a lot of ways - sci fi story, first person, mix of combat/stealth, badass manly character, multiple ways to take out enemies.  the only difference is the inventory and augmentations.  but riddick is already vastly superior to augmented paper boy.
 
if i hadn't played escape from butcher bay, DEHR probably would have been memorable... alas once you've tasted quality the cheap stuff doesn't taste as good any more.

i think jeff was referring to unbelievably boring boss fights.
 
it's like you get thrown into a cage with them and just have to shoot them until they die.  there's no tactics beyond 'hit with explosive to stun, then get 10 headshots while he's stunned, repeat'.
 
like the rest of the game, it's only too hard if you over-think.  trying to take cover and take potshots is useless....  you barely have to move, just unload a couple of missiles and a load of pistol shots to the face and they die.

everything owns blink stalker if you're positioned correctly.  the problem is their hyper mobility, just try to keep control of the towers and/or have patrolling scv/marine.
 
1.  they rarely have more than one observer in your base, scan and kill it.
 
2.  position your units ready to intercept the blink into your base
 
3.  get lots of free kills
 
4.  expand

Yeah its sucks that the game isn't your mediocre standard linear FPS, where you hands are held all the time. Screw thinking for you self, i want to be carried through with minimal effort. This game truly sucks.  In all seriousness, you clearly had no idea what you where getting into with this game. At least that's what i sounds like from reading your posts. I'm a big fan of the original, and i think they kept the feel pretty close. Of course a straight up remake would not have been possible, and in my opinion sucked. I'm very happy about them bringing the series into modern day game design.

yup, i started by looking at adam's emails... realised there's a mini sidequest to catch the guy smuggling that drug... by the time i've hacked into a couple of rooms it says things have got worse.
 
but the hostages die, someone says "oh dear the hostages died" and that's the only negative effect in the entire game....  i felt cheated by the game but it was meaningless anyway.

@Ravenlight there's a limb clinic in the last area of the game where you can buy two more praxis kits and other stuff.

The game's pretty awesome, not a shitstain like Invisible War was, but still it has a number of problems from my point of view. Forced boss fights are ridiculous, immersion-breaking and totally unnecessary. Ammo is nearly as scarce as a survival horror game. There aren't enough hubs, and the ones that exist are boring after being there for hooours. These are somewhat minor points that blemish an otherwise badass product, but the one GIANT fault is the PC port. Cats are running this game maxed out with 100 FPS steady and still having stuttering issues. To date the problem hasn't even been acknowledged by the devs. It's pretty sick that tons of reviewers gave this game a great score and didn't mention this issue at all. Only person I know who makes a point of mentioning this bullshit is Jeff.
