Well the game is about a decade old at this point so yeah controls have evolved and games generally run better/faster. For it's time the game was incredibly ambitious and delivered on a lot of what it tried to do. But it was absolutely an RPG that evolved into a 3rd person shooter with rpg elements in the 2nd and 3rd installment. If you are expecting a shooter when playing ME1 you're going to have a bad time.

Finally picked up a new ps4 and literally the first time I powered it on I got a safe mode screen, I wasn't sure if that was normal but it didn't seem promising. I got it to boot normally and everything seems fine now - I've read that the safe mode boot seems to be a relatively common thing, maybe not on the first time you power it on but whatever. For anybody thats experienced this, how did it work out for you, should I consider returning/exchanging?

has anybody tried this with any FPS games? I tried dishonored on wired gigabit, pretty substantial laptop too and I'm getting input lag which isn't awful per se but makes an FPS unplayable over streaming. I've read some reviews saying the latency is imperceptible, I feel like thats a pretty big exaggeration. I definitely notice it.

Also this is with a controller, not a mouse

I have 660Tis in SLI - all settings maxed. With Vsync Turned off I'm 100+ FPS - when I turn VSYNC on it is stuck at 50 FPS even though my refresh rate is 60. This appears to be the only game in my steam library that does this. Does anybody have any ideas?

Do I need xbox live gold to play coop on steam? It still uses GFWL. I'm guessing yes because I don't get any prompt when I go to the radio room on the ship. Just want to confirm.

Do they ever explain how his wife dies? It was just kinda like oh btw here's a letter your wife is dead. Then your daughter randomly shows up in the caribbean when you were supposed to go to england? I was a little iffy on the ending but there were definitely parts I liked about it. Great game.

I'm wondering if the Templars had anything to do with her death.

I guess you can only release underpowered hardware and get poor 3rd party support for so long before the market catches up to you.
