this blog was intended as a place to keep quality footage of Evil Ryu in one easy place. It's convenient that I don't need to navigate multiple youtube pages, stream links, or fighting game forums. It is not intended as a guide, it's more of a showcase, or reference. I realized other people might benefit and/or be interested in seeing these videos, as finding quality combo videos and matches is hard unless you visit fighting game sites with any sort of regularity, so I also posted this blog here on the SF forums so any Giant Bombers also interested in evil ryu can benefit from the videos.
This is a great write up by Canadian Top player Air. It gos into great detail and makes a great case for Evil Ryu as a viable character. Talks about the practical applications for evil ryu.
this is a fantastic early overview of the character. It has stamina / Stun analysis, Kara throw info, and a written description of every normal. Reading this with conjunction with watching videos will give a clear impression of what Evil Ryu is, and isn't.
Some more advanced Combos that rack up some real damage, this video is a must see for Evil Ryu players.

You...know there's a specific section of the site dedicated to guides, right? Just click on the word in the sidebar for the game. IMO, that would be a better place for this than on the forums.
@example1013: The Guides section of this website isn't exactly the most viewed/used part of GB since it's been busted for as a long time. This forum post is fine since most people wouldn't have found this otherwise.
Good stuff, but like Slash said, let's see if these guys come to console in the "I still care about this game" part of the future.
At least he's giving it a go. Good starting guide. I hadn't seen 1 or 2 of those videos there. To be honest I am 100x more interested in playing/fighting Oni than anything Evil Ryu but hey. Some people like him a lot.

As much as I love SF4, the release of AE has been too long coming. I don't have the time or patience to attempt to play a game competitively any more when life has ploughed on.
I'll probably give both a brief bash when it's eventually released (if it's DLC, and not disc-based as rumoured), but nowhere near as seriously as I used to play.
for anyone interested, and didn't watch the entire guard crush 15 stream, I updated the page with Chris G playing Evil Ryu. It was a fantstic set with some great combos doing as much as 40% on stanfords Sagat.
@TechHits: Interesting stuff. The fact that he builds meter faster than Ryu and has a Ken range kara throw are the most interesting points to me, plus having Akuma's Super and Ryu's Ultra 1 is cool.
I'll be trying him out for sure but I still think his low health/stun will stop me playing him. I'm sure the pros will be able to do some great stuf with him though :)
