Really... Zeus?

I love this game but Zeus is not really an inspired choice.

@davvyk: I think you mean so very right

it really depends on how much I'm liking a game, and what kind of game it is. I ended up having to go back 10 hours in persona 4, but it only took me like 4 hours because I skipped the dialog and knew where to go.

Besides I'm not usually trying to get through games as fast as I can just to play the next game coming out.

In the years of research I've looked to see who the best character is here are names that are common

1. Batman

2. Scorpion (Mortal Kombat)

3. Master Chief

4. Joker

5. Spider-man

6. Sam Fisher

7. Etzio The Assassin

8. Venom

9. Scarecrow

10. Didact

who is it?

I don't think you did any research at all. Hell, half of those characters are better known as comic book characters, rather than game characters. Oh, you also don't know how to spell Ezio. Lucky for everyone in this thread I have done some research. Actually, it is more like I remember who kept winning those greatest character of all time tournament polls on Gamefaqs. Granted this is more of a popularity contest and doesn't prove they are "the best," whatever that means. You kind of completely failed to explain what it is you are talking about. What criteria are we suppose to judge anything on? Don't know. Anyway, here are the three guys who always ended up at the top. If you want to know who the internet loves the most it is going to be one of these three.

umm... lucky us?

Now when I say good, I don't mean good for a video game movie. Has there ever been a movie good enough to stand on its own and called good film.

I was thinking about this and I couldn't think of a single one. Books, comic books, and even plays have been made into fantastic movies, but not a single video game film adaption jumps to mind as something that could hold its own as a movie.

@8bit_Archer: That's interesting that you would say ssf4 is a game where you would learn the ins and outs of fighting games, because I wouldn't say that that would be necessarily true.

SFxT just had a huge rebalance and would be the perfect time to jump in and learn the game. ssf4 on the other hand, has such a high barrier to entry, especially if you want to play online. People have been playing the game for so long it's really hard to jump in if you have not been keeping up.

However with that being said if you are really dead set on sf4 it's a really great game.

Oh god, that moment when you realise what Goho-M means.. It's Phoenix Down all over again...

I'm actually amazed that there are English speakers out there that didn't get the joke until it was pointed out to them.

I think more often than not people, like me, just overlook these names and just think of it as weird Japanese terms. I think about what the function is, instead of the actual name itself, so I never notice what they actually mean until someone else points it out.

especially since persona 4 throws around Japanese terms so casually.

That's kinda neat, also I never got the Goho-M reference when I played the game.
