For me, the music is the only thing about Halo that stands out betwixt the gunfire and sci-fi schlock, so I'm really glad O'Donnell got back what was owed to him - fight that corporate shitbaggery!

@contradictionvg when it comes to video game silliness, you can always expect this from Giant Bomb.

It's not a game I'll play myself, but Vinny and co have already provided me with more than enough entertainment to warrant a purchase, if only to support it. I'll gift it to my Mum, and hope that her mind isn't utterly bamboozled by the crazy UI stuff.

@raspharus I'll second Maximum The Hormone. Love this track but can't find the full edit that doesn't have the joke song at the start unfortunately. The real music starts at about 1:45.

Miyavi is pretty awesome too. Some really impressive guitar work, and catchy as heck:

Shenmue II is a much better game overall. If you do play it, try and play the European DC version if you can, rather than the Xbox remake. The japanese language adds a whole lot to the experience.

I've been playing this on PC since it came to Steam a couple of months ago, and I must say, I'm really enjoying it.

On a surface level, it looks like a completely standard MMO (and in many ways, it is), but some of the systems have some really interesting nuances that you don't typically see. I've lost count of the amount of times I've said to myself 'Oh, I wasn't expecting that!'

The cash store is also more 'ethical' (I don't like to use that word in this context, but I can't be bothered to think of an alternative) than you'll see in most games of this nature. No experience buffs, no loot. It's mostly cosmetic stuff that in many cases is available within the game.

I wont go into excessive detail (unless some of you are interested), but I would say if you like MMOs, it's definitely worth some investigation. For my money, it's much more interesting than FFIV, it's only real competitor on consoles.

I'm glad I finally gave it a go anyway.
