I mostly only play Trouble in Terrorist Town whenever one of my Steam friends is like "the server's full of pubs, get in here and show them how to play this goddamn game".
Pub rule NEVER LIES - shoot everybody who isn't a regular after 6 minutes.
I've beat the game twice, once on Normal, once on Classic.
Unless you're playing Ironman and something fucking crazy happens, the hardest part is the first two months. Once you get out of there, you should have enough cash coming in that shit just snowballs completely out of control.
Some how I managed to completely miss this whole thing occurring despite Obsidian being my favorite developer and this being my favorite type of game. I think it's about the only time in my life I'll felt fucked over for missing the opportunity to donate to something lol.
Build Firestorms with Plasma Cannons on all your continents. When that fucker tries to buzz you next time, blow 'em out of the sky.
After that, it's basically a matter of "get a psi level 3 guy, put him in psi armour, build the room of plot advancement, use the room of plot advancement, final mission"
@The_Laughing_Man: What's the achievement called? I'm reading over the steam achievements, but I don't see one for saving all civilians. Just one for getting an excellent rating, which not all civilians need to survive for.
I thought you needed them all to live. How many need to live then?
I pirated most of their games over the years. Even though I bought most of them at a later date, way I figure it I might as well make it so I can hypothetically look them in the eyes without freaking out and running away screaming.
That's my answer, Ravel, and that's all that matters.
I said Obsidian would have my money when the time came. I never break my word.
'sides, I kind of owe it to them after pirating pretty much all of their games at one point or another. I bought them later!
For Steam sale prices
We're even now, god dammit! Now, hopefully, if I ever end up in the same room as them, I can look them in the eye without panicking and jumping out the nearest window.
You have to get lucky with map size, enemy positioning, civilian positioning, combat rolls etc.
I got a terror mission on my first play through very very early on so there were only 3 crysalid groups total i think, on a very small map, I bum rushed the map, they all trained to me instead of civilians and my well equiped assaults tore them apart with shotguns.
Never happened again.
I had the same thing happen. First terror mission in my first playthrough, the only time I've ever had a perfect run. It was on a tiny map, and all the chrysalids spawned near my soldiers.
Is their any reward to saving everyone?? My guess is no but I'm just curious. You know shits bad when you save 10/18civilians and the game considers that good
If you get an excellent rating it drops panic on that entire continent by 3 or 4 because everybody's like "holy shit that dude just fucking rocked those aliens' shit".
