This is a very poor way to compensate Sony's core users. [Comments on EU lineup follow] LBP and Infamous are likely owned by most, Wipeout seems to have been reduced in price in various promotions, if you care about Ratchet and Clank you already own it (if you don't why would you want a game that fills the gap between the plot of two games you don't own?) and dead nation just seems to be pretty bad.

Free is still free, but applied to a very low value proposition.

Also, for those that asked about if they'll always be free/registering foreign accounts for game, the terms stipulate your account must have been created before the downtime.

Starcraft 2 and Brotherhood would be my top two choices.

Personally I find fighting games incredibly boring to watch, but I think I may be in the minority there. I do like the idea of doing older games though, especially if it means less TNT's involving games that aren't out in Europe until the following day (or later).

Physical, which is why I thought it was insane when Mass Effect 2 came out for PS3 and was way more expensive to get from PSN than any high street store (in the UK at least).

That said, I love Steam. I also recently downloaded Starcraft 2 when the box copy was way cheaper on Amazon because I broke down and had to get hold of it as quickly as possible. Of course I didn't account for the size of the game or the speed of the Blizzard downloader... but that's a different issue. So I guess in general it's physical for console and digital for PC, though any time the digital copy is more expensive than retail (close to a games launch) does not sit well with me.

Seeing Heavy Rain in the top 10 goes some way to restoring my faith in the future of games that try something different (flaws and all).

Red Dead Redemption for best ending? If, at a certain point, I'd been allowed to use the multiple sticks of dynamite I had, the ending would have been very different.

Never really had many problems with the game previously, and the ones that did occur weren't major. Since the patch I'm having trouble going 30 minutes without the game crashing.

The feature additions seem to be nice though I guess...

As a PS3 owner who loved Fallout 3, I never played the DLC because of the XBox exclusivity. Partially that was on principle, but mainly because I'd played so much of the original game by the time the DLC actually came to PS3 I'd moved on and lost any interest I had in it. No doubt this time will be no different.

The problem is that game publishers consider platform makers & advertisers their customers, not the people buying the games. They'll take Microsoft's (or whoever it is at the time) money over keeping the interest of a subset of a game's fans every time. Would be interesting to hear what the developers really think of these deals.

I asked about this and Andy responded here:
http://www.giantbomb.com/forums/bug-reporting/33/ok-vid-player-should-work-awesome-now/391028/?page=5 (about half way down the page).

They're going to look into it, but until they get a chance (there's still a number of people who can't watch videos on their computers) they won't know how easy/possible it will be to fix.

@andy:  Thanks Andy. Appreciate the work you guys do improving the site. I can still watch the videos on my laptop, so it's not the end of the world that the PS3 video isn't working - but it has definitely been one of the best ways for me to enjoy the video content of the site in the past.

@MrKlorox: The youtube videos are also much lower quality, at least the videos I looked at earlier via the PS3 were. Considering one of the main benefits of using the PS3 for many (including me) is watching the videos on a big HD screen, low quality is a deal breaker (plus the very slow updates as you mentioned).

Any chance of a comment from Dave or Andy regarding PS3 playback (/alternate options)? I'm sure you guys aren't overlooking the PS3 concerns (and you're obviously massively busy right now), but it would be nice to know if we can expect it to work again anytime soon.
