Ahh my mistake, I thought you just had no idea who he was lol. Also I thought it was Epic Games in conjunction with Chair? I could be wrong I guess.

"If you think about it.... Not a lot of superb superb survivor horror games out there eh?Sorta like horror movies. Most of them, aren't so hot.Japanese style ones are always clunky. Fatal Frame (As called in the US) is probably the only series that has it mostly right. Though, it loses its scare after awhile. Doesn't stay fresh.Heard good stuff about Clock Tower 3,  but I dunno how it actually plays."

Plays ok, controls can be a bit loose at times and it totally loses it's vigor when you actually switch from being a helpless character to having to fight the murderers yourself.

But it's worth a look, I didn't find it all that scary but it's pretty good.

The other problem with survival horror nowadays is that the only people really into it because they are looking for scares, are long time horror fans, and imo that's doing it wrong. Survival horror (at least proper ones) ahve emphasis on puzzle solving and survival, the horror is a bonus if done properly it's not the main attraction. Not only are there very few games that get the horror right, but the people looking for it in the first place are mostly desensitized to it so it's twice as hard to scare those people.

For example, you say Project Zero loses it's scare after a while. I damned near shit my pants playing those games and had to stop playign the 3rd one because it was giving my nightmares. Whereas traditional zombies and monsters don't affect me at all, Dead Space for example maybe made me jump a couple times but that was it, most of the tenseness I felt was because the combat was frantic and the ammo usually in low supply.

Same goes for games like Silent Hill and Resi, it's about survival, not knowing whether or not you can kill whats around the corner and facing the reality of having to avoid it rather than shoot everything in sight, just so you can survive another encounter to give you more time to think about the puzzle you're currently solving. If it just so happens those monsters are scary, then bonus imo.

"I don't think he's garbage, not in the least. I do get a little frustrated sometimes because it seems other characters have significant advantages over what Guile has now. The only real issue I have is really priority hits. The other ones are really ones I've witnessed or only had a couple encounters where it became a problem."

Everybody has tough matchups unfortunately be it because the player doesn't have experience with the opposing character or playstyle, or the character has weaknesses against him, guile has bad matchups like any other character :) And like I said before, the reason it seems people have a significant advantage over guile is because they are on an equal footing more or less nowadays, so it just seems like they gained a significant power boost and guile did not, it's because guile was already hella good to begin with.

Technicly, when any sort of counter or score tracker reaches the maximum number it can process, which with todays computers would probably be millions of billions of kills, depends how much memory is allocated for keeping track of it. Or if it's even fixed, if it's not then you can literally go forever.

A better way would be to leave it when you get bored of it, or when the community is dwindling so much it's hard to get a game on.

This.

I downloaded them on steam and i pussied out after 2 levels. Sounds like the game for you. Plus its kind of cheap. And its on sale this week on steam! "

That's a good price, but it's not as good as the weekend deal a few weeks back when it was only £3.50 for all 3 episodes lol!

Wow holy shit that's awesome man. I wish I was that lucky lol I never win shit, and I mean never lol, i've never ever won anything that involved a prize draw. I've won plenty of things I had to work for myself such as tournaments and whatnot though.

"Eternal Darkness certainly doesn't look like an N64 game. The controls and the camera are pretty good, but the game isn't really scary. "

This. It controls nice enough if I remember correctly, havn't played it literally since it launched. Which is odd as I bought a copy a few months back and havn't even checked the disc works yet. :S But yeah. I also remember it looking really nice.

I also remember getting stuck right before the final boss though, some door just would not open no matter what I did, and apparently the way to open it was in a previous chapter I had to do something, anyways, yeah, I was like wtf.... Couldn't continue at all and wasn't willing to start again.

" @jNerd: I'm leaning towards Shadow Complex because i've got MvC2 on PS2, and I will probably not play it all that much online tbh, even if I think I will. Also, the achieves are insane if I remember rightly, no way, Shadow Complex's sound doable. "
I'm just not sure if I actuallyWANTto play another Super Metroid, I don't really enjoy Blenzinski's work all that much. Marvel vs. Capcom 2 on the other-hand is one of my Top 5 favorite games of all time & I can't wait to play online against other people."
Me and Cliff have this weird relationship going on. Much like myself, the man says a lot of things, and says them very loudly. Oddly, I find myself completely split, almost exactly half the things he says I will agree with completely, and the other half, oppose vehemently. So i'm still not sure what I think of him. I do want another Super Metroid/Castlevania though tbh. But I also want to kick ass with my favorite marvel and capcom characters.... hmmm decisions *strokes beard* "
I am not sure Clifford B. Clifford has anything to do with the game except being the hype-master, as far as I know."

Wow you have no idea do you?

Could at least take a look on the wiki before saying something like this dude. He's a game designer, he's been making games since the 90's and has his name to things like Dare to Dream and Jazz Jackrabbit. He's also played a large part in the evolution of the Unreal franchise he was there from the beginning if I remember correctly, helping push Unreal to be the success that it was.

He was also the lead designer on Gears of War. So he's not just some marketing nobody who talks a lot of smack, he's a very well respected and succesful designer. As for what he has specifically to do with Shadow Complex I don't know, I doubt very much at all as he's busy with Gears 3 and being executive producer on the gears movie. His was just the first name that came to mind when Epic was mentioned and I just pointed out that I tend to get on with everything he says pretty much 50/50 split so if he's had anything at all to do with Shadow Complex there is a good chance I will like it, even if he hasn't the people working on it are bound to have picked up some good stuff from him along the years. I was just pointing out it could either be a tremendous hit with me, or miss the mark completely I tend to either totally love, or outright hate everything Epic puts out.
