Truck truckie trucky truck truck truck!

So today was a big day for me. At about 1pm ish I went out to my cousins house after messin around a bit on BLOPS *Schooled my other cousin on the first level* I handed over 500 bucks and a toy truck. And in return was handed the title for my FIRST TRUCK! My first very own vehicle!

To make sure my mom did not have a heart attack my cousin took me on some lessons..mostly that meant "Shit I wanted to do" And we made a trip to game stop to pick up...

Hazahh

After a bit more driving and refueling the truck we went back to her house and I played more BLOPS with my cousin. Then I headed on home. And now...for your entertainment..my truck!...Again its not a looker at all

 Blurry pic is blurry

Not shown here about the 20 dollar in change left behind for me!

Again its not some beautifull truck. Its a point A to B thing. But again ITS MY FIRST TRUCK!. Its a great feeling to sit in it and think " This is mine. I bought it"

Getting a first car is a pretty amazing experience. I remember when I got mine I was so excited I drove around for a good 3 hours. Then of course when I brought it to school everyone laughed at me and called it a soccer mom car. Hopefully you don't have to share the humiliation with your truck.

What the fuck is that? Are you trying to be the stereotype  American or is that really a car you want to own?

Congratulations. That sense of freedom you get when you realize you can go where you want whenever you want is one of the great mile-stones of growing up.

Nothing. Trucks are great... if you often have to transport large unwieldy objects like lawnmowers, wheelbarrows or cement mixers. For privat use they have a heavy hillbilly vibe.

No, don't take off the American flag sticker. Add more. Slap a Sarah Palin 2012 sticker on the back and put a gun rack in the window. That would be so kick ass funny.

Is gas still that cheap in the USA that it's still not worth considering? I mean that thing has to guzzle a lot of gas compared to a small car, doesn't it?

Are you sure that thing will pass whatever safety check thingy you have in the US? It doesn't look like it would pass a British MOT. Then again, I know nothing about cars, so maybe it would.

Yeah. Ive been driving my grandfathers old 81 Chevy/GM pick-up truck for the past month, and it has a manual choke. Usually starts pretty fast though.

But isn't driving a car that wouldn't pass a safety check kinda dangerous? I know I wouldn't want to be in the passenger seat when you're driving along at 50 miles an hour and a wheel comes flying off.

Yeah, maybe those cars are just much more common in the US than we Europeans (or I for that matter) are aware of. I really only know them from movies, and there they are typically the vehicle of choice of KKK members, various other bigots and hillbillies.
It's most likely just a stupid stereotype like many others. Still, trucks like that have a slight negative connotation for me... blame the media, I guess. :P

It works fine. Nothing is broken. The transmission just needs to heat up on a cold morning. Brakes are infact amazing. Seat belts work. Handles fine. Little low on winshield wiper fluid..other then that...its fine..just old.

Do not base what you think of the u.S on those movies. A lot of people here drive trucks and are not any of that you listed. Thats just blinded and stupid to think like that. Not to mention offensive at some level.

$500 you say?? I'm selling my 89 Toyota for $400, it runs great, the AC works and it's manual. Dammit I just want to buy more gaems!!!

And now begins the endless process of tuning it and polishing it until it looks like it had been rebuilt by Xzibit himself... or the people fixing the cars in that awful show of his.

Anyway, I really oppose driving those kinds of cars for privat purposes because of their fuel consumption and environmental damage, but those considerations obviously have to take a backseat if it's the only car you can afford.

Fuck yeah dude. That thing is a big fucking rusty beast. Beat the shit out of it and make sure that thing has a nice stinky truck smell to it so everyone behind you in traffic suffers as you laugh maniacally behind the wheel.

There's something special about a first car, especially when it's a pile (no offense) as most first cars should be.

Just make sure you check the air filter and taking it to a mechanic every so often and you won't have to worry about it too much.
