" Also, I'd like to point out that as a software tester, if the cause of this issue does turn out to be something as stupidly simple to check as leap year calculation, I will laugh my ass off. "
Maybe PSN is rejecting that awful " The tester" show.

Sadly you will have to wait until Sony gets this ironed out, or so it seems currently. "

" Well, I guess we're kind of stuck waiting for Sony to do something so...how 'bout that new Endless Ocean? "
That's the game with them red worlds aint it? "
Yeah, man, burns like hell.  Hardest game ever.  I had to settle for the blue version.  Yes, I'm a pansy. "
I got an update from sony!   PSN status update (part 2): Readers/followers are confirming that "slim" units (120/250 GB models) are connecting normally. ....   Good ol sony...ontop of things as normal.   "
I wouldn't really call that an update per se, but I assume you are being sarcastic. "
I do not have the sarcasm things. So ya. I was being stupid. It took them two hours to confirm what we knew.

" From Garnett Lee's twitter: "PSN trouble looks potentially messy since my debug's not been Net connected and it's out too. Probably not a quick fix." Fuuuck, how the hell could a debug unit thats never been connected online have this problem too? This could be a long lasting problem :( "
That makes no sense. It's spreading through the fucking air! "
This might that the issue isn't specifically related to PSN and is actually an issue with the units themselves.  Remember the Zune issue that caused all first-generation models to brick for a full day?  The firmware wasn't set up to handle the date transition at a certain point. "
It seems there was no hacking. It was a joke left by the devs. *Or so PS3 forum mods say* Some are saying it was a data base crash.
