@TekZero I'm not really sure what level I was by the time I got to the Gaping Dragon. I would think that you aren't too far ahead of the curve though. The bigger problem is the connection problems between people on the 360. I would say about 90% (not exaggerating), my summons fail. This includes me being human and summoning people, trying to put down my own soapstone and sitting there for 20 minutes, and also trying to use the blue invasion orb as part of the Darkmoon Blade covenant. It sucks, but its awesome when it works.
Ive been reported twice. Please come invaded me. Im real bored. Ive been human for two days now. Running around Den foretress and the area after it. No one comes to visit.

I like the painted cloth armour. The one worn by the guys in the temple. Who throw daggers and all.

Also what is that boar head looking thing I see everyone waring?

@The_Laughing_Man: An opponents attack will bounce off your shield and leave them open depending on the kind of shield you have. A heavy shield is likely to make most attacks bounce even though it would just go through a light or medium one.

Been using a blakc knights shield. I also have a eagle shield.

@sofacitysweetheart: The reall big one is apparently some Scarecrow stuff. But it probably just hasn't been found yet. Cool all the same though

Your way behind. There are two scarecrow things in the game.

You'll pick up a Lightning Spear halfway through Sen's Fortress that will be stronger than anything you'll be able to quickly make.
Speaking of lighting. Where am I able to upgrade stuff to use lighting?
I think you have to go to the Giant Blacksmith in Anor Londo, which is the next location after you make it through Sen's Fortress.
Thats where I am. I just beat the second gargoyal

It really depends on which stat you intend of making your primary.  Strength lets you take advantage of the larger, heavier weapons as well as great shields while dex requires you to be a lot more nimble.  Don't forget also that both Int and Faith are viable primary stats even if you want to be a melee character due to the existence of divine and magic ascensions for weapons.  And of course, all this is rendered moot by the strength of weapons ascended to lightning due to both their superb fixed damage values which out pace any weapons that scale off a stat currently as well as the lack of shields that block lightning at a high percentage.  A patch should be out soon to balance that though, along with a lot of other stuff.  Note that there is a lightning spear right in Sens Fortress which can last you for the rest of the game if upgraded.
I was gonna get a flamberg. And give it lighting.

Yes, it definitely does ruin the core appeal of the game as well as pvp.  I've ran into more than a few people using that bug to dupe fire bombs.  I can't wait for the fabled 1.04 patch to finally hit and potentially fix all the ills that plague us.
When is that commin?!

Ok question,. What causes someone to stumble when they hit your shield? Just low stam or what?

@The_Laughing_Man: It was the faith that was too low, I neglected to check it in the stats screen.

Beat the Gargoyles in the end! No strategy as I couldn't be bothered to learn the attack pattern before tracking back through the area to reach them. Just went in with the Draco sword two-handed and went all berserker on both of them, it worked!

Anybody have any general advice on what stats to focus on with Pyromancy? So far I've been mostly putting into Vitality and Endurance but have put a few into strength when equipment has needed it.

From what I know stats do not effect your flame power. Just the glove.
